Btw, if you want to know how nice the improvements to the phone are, it's directly proportional to how angry the Bebop meltdown is. Seriously guys, he's a joke character in Apple threads. No one takes him seriously. Just ignore it. On topic, really happy with the battery life. That's a big deal for me.
He didn't say it's better exactly. Just that it's "“better than OLED technology for these type of products.” Didn't exactly say why. Maybe it's the price of OLED or the shortage that's happening right now. IPS isn't actually a new type of screen but just high-res display technology. The iPad has it too. http://www.pcworld.com/article/188141/ipad_ips_screen_technology_explained.html
I'm a joke? Steve Jobs strip the iPhone of alot of thing so that's why you seem to get great battery life. When you start using the Apps the battery is just the same like many other phones out there. Don't tell me they are using some new well kept secret lithium battery that other people doesn't know about.
I can tell you right now that some of the information in your post is false, and it is probably based on the fact that you didn't fully understand how to use certain features of the phone. But that's part of the beauty of the iPhone: everything is easy and relatively straight-forward. With Android, you can go for months without knowing a certain feature even exists.
just saw that too. iphone4 to iphone4. typical. also, like that it's wifi only. typical at&t network. not really hating, but would really like for them to break out of apple to apple and this network issue. if i wasn't happy with the mobile os i'm using now, i'd definitely switch over to apple rather than android.
There is already a company with a product registered with the trademark FaceTime. http://www3.facetime.com/default.aspx whoopsy?
Not really. Larger resolutions doesn't necessarily lead to better picture quality. Look at cameras on phones -- despite being the same resolution pictures as standalone digital cameras, the image quality is still significantly worse for a wide array of reasons. If you think the iPhone's 720p recording is going to look like a regular digital camera then you're probably sorely mistaken. What would be TRULY impressive is if they did something like the Olympus PEN commercial: shoot the entire HD commercial on the camera itself. Then I'd be convinced. But they won't (and probably can't) do that.
