I have no problem with you posting this stuff. I'm just a big gadget geek. I'm usually over at Engadget and Gizmodo constantly checking out stuff. If you're going to post. Leave your ego behind. It just make you sound like some of those Apple fanboys over at Gizmodo and Engadget...
I'm usually the same as far as visiting those sites go... I wasn't really laying my ego... I don't mind if someone knows more info.. it was the matter of posting accurate stuff, I think I may have slipped by saying that "excel" stuff... yeah but I understand you.
Well... Safari doesn't... there haven't been any rumors suggesting that they'll add that, but you never know.. guess we'll have to wait until Monday for that.
Fast reply!! I will have to wait for the full details WWDC so I can make the choice between the Iphone or the Palm pre.
ok i didnt think i had to get all exact with my posting.. i was just referring to the fiasco about att rejecting the app..then saying its ok on wifi..blah blah. if their network was so powerful...why would they care bout the few people who wanted to stream some tv. OH they want to claim its not in the terms of agreement and slinging ur tv is illegal..ok.. ya i see video calling is there on the network. wait till it's on the iphone and when the however many million people (wont post a number since u will go butcher that also) with one start getting on together..it will be a different story. ur the definition of a fanboy. reading every forum and gadget for anything apple and getting defensive over anything and everything. then updating a thread of clutchfans with random rumors because you cant contain your joy for all things apple.
So people with the 2g iphone are pretty much out of luck? A new iphone comes out every year, and the older ones aren't available to use any apps...this sucks...but if that is the new iphone i hope it can be unlocked Chilcutt
First of all... about the sling player thing... I guess I misinterpreted what you said, yeah they don't have it for 3G... but that's just crazy if you'd think they would. Unlimited data plan.. $30... you think they are going to let their bandwidth just get over used like that for $30? They can't charge extra just for an app... they were forced to do wifi for it, I completely understand about that. Secondly, I stated it before.. ITS COSTS EXTRA for Video Calling... people are already fed up with the data plan itself... you're thinking millions of people will pay monthly for it.. I highly doubt it. What good is it also if you can only use it with people who only have the iPhone or another AT&T phone (which is pretty limited, I believe there are only 2 or 3 compatible phones), so who will pay for it monthly if you can only use it to a limited amount of people, most of which prob wont even buy it because of the current economy. Video Calling WILL be there, I can tell you that right now, most to all the stuff is pointing to a front camera on the new one.. which would mean video sharing/conferencing. Lastly, What definition of a fanboy? When did I define fanboy? All I said was I read Engadget, Gizmodo, and BGR which are NEWS SITES... NEWS... I only got defensive because you posted your comment with such a blatant opinion, when the facts prove that it can sure as hell handle it, at least right now. Believe it or not, some people here on Clutchfans want to buy the phone, that's the only real reason I'm updating it... not because of my joy, I could care less to show it off... Apple will show it off themselves on Monday and then everyone who reads/watches the news will know about it... just posting this stuff for people who want to buy the phone. It may look like I'm a fanboy, I'm just looking forward to getting the phone... I was really displeased by the lack of features that I got the 3G version, my fault for being so anxious to get a full-featured phone.
This isn't true. My 1gen iphone still works great and I'm looking forward to thenew software update. Apps still work great on it besides the GPS stuff. Everything else works fine. I'll use it as long as it works before I upgrade to a new one but if it died tomorrow i'd be first in line to get a new one when they came out i use it so much. Probably use it more than anything else, even my computer, which is pretty amazing if ask me. Online banking, music, movies, streaming tv, games, internet, information, scheduling, communication, drink recipies whats not to like. Add in video, flash support, cut and paste and a better camera... i'm down with all that.
I have it as well, but when i got onto the app store alot of the free apps than interest me, are only available with the 3G..not just the navagational ones..I love my iphone as well...what version are you running? I think i have 2.1 but im afraid to upgrade, since mine is unlocked its a hastle to upgrade then unlock and jailbreak all over again Chilcitt
I'd love to see a vote of who actually gives a crap about video calling on their iphone? not me. I have a 3g, it serves me well but there's some things I'd like to see upgraded. 1. the camera is the worst piece of **** I've ever seen. It's a step above no camera and that's it. You and your subject have to stay still for at least 3 seconds for the picture to come out right. If you want to take a picture at night, just leave the phone in your pocket and take it because that's exactly what anything you want to take outside will look like. Put a decent camera on this thing with flash and well I don't want to ask for too much but I had a $40 phone that took video. 2. The gps is, again, barely a step above no gps. At the minimum give me something that reroutes me if I take the wrong turn. 3. MMS... seriously f#$ked up that this wasn't on there from the get go... I don't send pictures but people seem to like to send them to me and on the occasion that I care enough to see it, it's a pain in the ass to go to ATT's website and type in a random username and password. 4. Java That's the end of my list, put these on there and I'll gladly upgrade. Everything else is more or less wasting my time.
There is an App in the store called Night Camera. I think it was $.99 when I got it. I was able to take pretty decent pics at a Disturbed concert. The MMS issue I agree with... Should have been there from the beginning but there's another App called MMS buddy. You dont have to get on a computer and go to a website or anything. Done straight from the phone. I also agree about the gps. Could have been done a lot better but still better than nothing. btw... Anyone know when the 3.0 software is coming out?
Rumored for next week... doubt it's that early though, I'd prob say sometime in July when the new one comes out.... similar to what they did with the 2.0 software I believe.
