The phone is a big dissapointment. Def. not worth 500-600 bones. Maybe 199. Touch screen is not too responsive. Space bar is on the left somewhere and not located in the traditional location. Screen is horrible. When you flip up the keyboard you can't adjust the angle Symbian http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/06/12/nokia-n97-review/ fu
Jailbroke my 3GS this weekend. Holy crap, it's like a whole new phone. I wasted the whole weekend playing with the darn thing.
Just got my IPHONE 3G Unlock and Jailbreak with TMOBILE!! GOT DAYM I"M LUVIN IT!! Download Hackulo.us from CYDIA! and you can download unlimited apps for freeeee that would have charge you in the APP STORE I have like 6 pages of games old emulators for: Turbo Graphix NEC SEGA Nintendo games like: Last Battle, Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, Altered Beast, Zelda ect...
Background apps... get apps for free... themes.... some type of flash movies.... a lot of neat things.....
Yeah... but those updates are minor... maybe security improvements... but with a jailbroken iPhone you can run a background gps tracker that can't be closed by anyone who steals it... you can't get any more secure than that... you'll know where your iPhone is at all times as long as its on... Major software updates are really the only reason you would update your jailbroken software.
Well... it doesn't DRAIN it... it just depends what else you have on... See for me.. when I'm at home, I turn 3G off... turn off GPS.. and Bluetooth... keep WiFi on... When I go out... I turn on 3G, GPS, and turn off WiFI.. keep bluetooth off... You just have to manage your battery the right way... I've never really had a problem with the battery before... one of the reasons is because I took care of it well when I first got it by charging it a certain way... so now it's paying off.. it lasts about 10 hours sometimes 12.... I keep my brightness at about 1/4 level... don't really need it to be too bright... but still I use it a lot and it lasts me almost 10 hours with the use of texting, calling, and surfing the web, as well as sometimes using apps and playing games. Music.. I don't listen everyday... but the days I do.. It goes down to about 5% by the end of the day and then I just charge it. Leaving GPS on at certain times would be wise... you don't need to leave it on when you're at home... when you go to work everyday or something, yeah you turn it on and keep it on until you get home... but it shouldn't drain your battery much at all. Just depends on how much you really use your phone.... if you use the hell out of your phone... why not get a battery backup... like a Richard Solo or a Mophie Juice pak and keep it in your pocket or something.. it would be very useful for businessmen.
Ah its sooooo confusing. I jailbroke using redsn0w, and installed cydia and ice... I just don't get the next step? I read somewhere about an app called appsync (and it apparently allows me to do what i want most- free apps?)
No... it's called Installous.... download that from here... http://hackulo.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=651 That gives you free apps.
got a question. I got a 3g iphone unlocked/jailbroken and have added the 5.99 tzones. All I did to access the Edge network is entered in epc.tmobile.com in the apn. Do I need to bother with this download hack that I hear about? What does that add, internet access via edge seems fine jsut entering in that address in teh apn. thanks
I think I owe Sajan an apology. lol.. Found this today... http://www.appleinsider.com/article...apple_att_for_google_voice_app_rejection.html
The hack literally does what you did, it's just automated. Basically it makes hacking an iPhone ID10T proof. It also fixes a lot of chair-to-keyboard interface issues.
