I concur... there really isn't too much to be happy about... we just got some missing features that are basic to any phone.

Trolling? People ask for what phone is best for them. It's obviously other phones just caught up with the iPhone in the software department. Most phones out there in hardware surpasses the iPhone. I'm giving people better options then this overhype product which it's actually is. An overhype product that restrict it users many thing in the pass. I wouldn't even talk. Trolling? So if anyone disagreed with you about the iPhone is trolling? I'm probably the biggest phone geek in here. I have handle the Sony Xperia X1, BB Storm, Bold, HTC Diamond, Pro, Pro2, Samsung Omnia, Nokia N95 ect...They are all superior in hardware compare to the iPhone. It's not even a smart phone. What's the iPhone have is a stable OS and the capacitive touchscreen. But now other phone mobile OS are catching up and will surpass it. Maybe you should take a look at what Microsoft have done with the Zune HD. I'm no fanboy. I use to hate the winmobile 6.1. I'm just going with what's the best of the up and coming phone. The iPhone would've been the ultimate phone if all the rumors were true and I would have been all over it. If you take a look at the first iPhone to the iPhone G3 S, it's a big epic fail in upgrade. They are pretty good at milking their iPhone.
See... I'm not defending the iPhone... so stop trying to convince me that other phones are better... I'm sure they are better... I KNOW some of them are better... but that's what I was talking about... It was you derailing everything about Apple in an Apple only thread... Zune HD . If this is any indication of what Winmobile 6.5 or 7 is going to be like. Then Microsoft have finally earn my money. Same thing what they've done with Windows 7.
Do you need it that badly that you can't wait another 6 days? If so, Google... it was leaked as a torrent.
We have several M$ reps onsite where I work and they said that the new Windows Mobile is much better than 6. They also said that the GUI has not been upgraded much at all and that they are very disappointed that it isn't more intuitive. They said that the mapping software is way better than the google maps on the iPhone and so is the searching feature. They said that the new mobile IE is significantly upgraded but still no where as nice as safari. All of them carry iPhones and said that while the new WM is better, they highly doubt they would make a change. The iPhone GUI is too responsive and slick.

talk about nuthugging... how does Microsoft's ass taste? A youtube video of an unreleased ipod touch clone, an unreleased handheld OS (which, from the sounds of your comment, you haven't even SEEN yet), and an unreleased PC OS. All already clearly better than apple versions that are stable and have been tested and enjoyed by millions of people. It does sound like someone in here is buying into somebody's hype machine. hint: it's you.

From what I've read, I believe so. But I'd recommend waiting till the official release of 3.0 to avoid the chance of bricking your phone. Only a week left.
Do you have to wait a full 24 months before you can upgrade the iphone without having to pay a upgrade fee?
