I also gotta say that the iPhone 4/4s has one of the best cameras around the optics are really good. and I'm not just repeating an Apple ad
Out of the question for Sprint. Doubtful for Verizon and AT&T since they just announced their shared data plans knowing the iPhone 5 would be released 2 months later.
Why is everyone calling it the iPhone 5 when it's the 6th iPhone? They aren't going to release "iOS6" and "iPhone 5" together.
The iOS version and iPhone model are no longer linked. iOS6 will go on iPad and iPod Touch too. Apple's gone to a major/minor product revision cycle for the iPhone. Major revision is the whole number change; minor revision is the half.
Looks like it'll be launching on Friday September 21st, 2012. http://techcrunch.com/2012/08/21/iphone-5-launch-date/
Mehhhh. It looks like the 4/4s but stretched out. Was hoping for a complete makeover... Only good thing is that the screen is going to be bigger.
A mock up of the iPhone 5 at IFA 2012.. There's also a video in the link. Pretty much holding steady of all the rumors. http://www.theverge.com/2012/9/2/3286722/iphone-5-mockup-ifa-2012-video
so what are the expected new features? Longer, thinner screen (in-cell technology?) Fast processor/more RAM (Dual-core, 1GB RAM) 9-Pin connector 4G LTE Nano Sim Better front facing camera Two Tone matte metal back Repositioned headphone jack iOS6
Pretty disappointed that it's essentially just an iPhone 4 that's been stretched out. Obviously it'll be faster, it'll have better internal hardware, and all that jazz...but as a 2 year iPhone 4 holder, I was hoping for something a bit more exciting and a bit more different. People were excited about the iPhone 4 because of not only it's enhanced features, but it got an entirely different look and feel. That's what I wanted for the iPhone 5, but it just looks like a slightly taller iPhone 4, and to me, that's fairly disappointing. Obviously I'm still going to buy it because, frankly, I can't imagine owning a different kind of phone other than an iPhone, but I think Apple is going to disappoint a lot of people with this lack of innovation.
everyone will buy it regardless. if you are a iphone 4 owner..you're already out of contract..even some of the 3GS owners who waited for the what we now known as 4S will be ready to upgrade. 3GS holdouts + 4 owners + temporary 4S upgraders who now want the latest = a crap load of people.
It won't. It has new features but it too looks the same It's gonna be a great phone as always but apple gon apple Rumored to be no NFC. If apple thinks it's not time yet then it's not time yet
