    Delteed mostly.

I was unkind to Brock who is after all a fellow suffering Rockets fan.

I feel your pain and so do many of the other posters.

I don't think it's cool to hate our players if they play hard. They might f up but everyone does that. Bonzi is a quitter. He deserves Pippen-like hate. Some people here can't see that. Les can not makes exceptions for one player like Mike James. What it Tmac and Yao had asked for trade kickers too? We need all kinds of upgrades. There is no reason to a blame particular player personally for that.

Les can make exceptions if he wants. He is the boss.

Dal w. Yao and Tracy on a case by case basis.

How long has he owned the team? So in those 15 years he is going to make an expectation for a head case like Mike James? How would the rest of the team felt about that? There is just no way.

Wait... Rafer WASN'T the reason we lost game 7? He was pissing me off just as much that game as any other. Maybe even more.

Did you see that turnover he had that was the absolute turning point of the 4th? Unquestionably the worst play of the entire season.

    You may call me Brock.

And I'm sorry that my terrible spelling effected your comprehension of my post to the point you felt the need to be the forum spelling/grammar police; getting bent out of shape like a school girl who got mud on her skirt. Please accept my apology heypartnor.

no- that wasn't the reason we lost the game. And I believe if he wasn't playing so many minutes that play doesn't happen.

That was a terrible play, no doubt, but those two T-mac jumpers after driving to the hole got us in the penalty (and back in the game) was the reason we lost that game. Yao's terrible rebounding was another reason. Rafer's Sura impression was a reason. Luther's complete collapse was also one. Our other "bench" player, Juwan, missing the same outside jumper that he always misses (just outside of his range) was another reason. Trying to guard Boozer with Chucky for extended minutes was another factor. Yao shooting fade away jumpers instead of attacking the rim could have been a factor. Our lack of passing and assists by anyone not named T-mac was certainly a factor - as I've noticed all season long that when we pass the ball we win and win by a larger margin. Our lack of defense covering the center of the lane was a huge part of it - it was like taking a walk down the middle for Utah.

Anyway, I'm sure there are several more reasons but it is probably easier to remember Rafer falling down than the fact he shot a decent percentage that game and actually played well.

I'm not advocating Rafer as starting PG - and he would be an absolutely luxury off of the bench. But this past season - who could we have realistically aquired that would have been a significant upgrade? Mike James? Well that didn't happen and it made some folks mad.

I do wish JVG had played V-span backup minutes behind Rafer all season. I think we may have been in a different position during the playoffs - especially when we were in penalty situations where V-span can consistently attack and get to the foul line. That's how you rid yourself of scoring droughts like this team tends to go through.

What I don't understand is how this is all Rafer's fault. did he do significantly less than his career stats? Did he not take care of the ball? Is it his fault he was the best option we had at that position?

    Regards,
    Brock

i agree with you on that one...Rafer isnt the greatest but Clutch does make him standout for every loss and the games he does good i love his sarcasm when tlkin bout Rafer. Its his opinion though so its all good.

I personally think Rafer was a big reason why we got as far as we did....but also a big reason why we lost...he gives the team an edge but not enough.
