Hey basso, is Piyush Jindal really a Hindu who supports the teaching of intelligent design?

You should check with Trader_Jorge to see if he has authenticated Piyush's birth certificate.

    Rashmon,
Bobby will explain all this to you, but only after you've finished your juice box and animal crackers. Now how does that sound!

Bobby Jindal is a disgrace to his race and all minorities. He is to Indian people what Clarence Thomas is to black people. His card was taken away a long time ago.

No, but I want to find it because:
    (1) I want to see his walk toward the camera again.
    and
    (2) I want to hear if he really did say "to feed our enemies and strengthen our nation."

Also, I am really fascinated by how much he could be a Dukakis for the GOP. Whip smart, but just not that personally compelling when the cameras roll.

So this diggleberry is really named Piyush? In his speech, he mentioned his dad calling him Bobby at the grocery store. If I named my son Piyush and he uses Bobby instead, I would clothesline the kid. Bobby is not even a nickname or anywhere close to Piyush.

Jindal was born in Baton Rouge to immigrants from India.

Early in adulthood, Jindal converted to Catholicism.

Great speech by Obama. He really has the ability communicate. That will serve him well. There's a lot of work to do and we'll see how his actions match the words.

Jindal's response was horrific. I can't believe he blew it so badly. Basically it was nothing more than a kickoff to his 2012 campaign. It was so self-serving that I have to believe a lot of GOP partisans will be angry. His substantive points were nothing more than stale leftovers warmed over again. Only the most biased GOP hack will accept what he said. Lastly, his delivery was tragic. If you don't believe me, just listen to the first 3-4 minutes and you will get the idea. This guy has no chance to be elected president.

I don't doubt his intelligence and competence as a manager, but Jindal really shish-kebobed himself if he was trying project himself as presidential. His best shot on the national scene is as someone's veep selection or cabinet member. There ain't no way he will be the head of their ticket unless they want a guaranteed loss. IMO, after today's crash and burn, the GOP will make Jindal pay his dues until at least 2016 before he gets serious consideration.

Romney has the 2012 nomination in the bag if he wants it. I don't track Vegas odds, but I bet they had a reaction to today.

That really was amazing. Not the Obama thing, I expected that. But Jindal, wow. He was pretty much the only Republican left that I feared at all. Turns out he'd rather teach kindergarten. I think that's super.

    Not to rag on.

But was it just me, or did Jindal sound like a mediocre high school speech contestant. The constant gaps and slow speaking with odd voice inflection randomly.

Aside from the pretty piss poor message, just listening to him made me want to just turn off the TV.

    Dear Republicans,

Please put out a speaker that sounds like an adult.

    Thanks.

PS - I've heard him speak to me in front of a group of about 10 people and wasnt impressed but man that speech on TV was ten times worse. Geez

Hardly. He's the most prominent Indian American politician in the U.S. That's a disgrace to his race and all minorities? WTF? Get a clue man.

Jindal's supposed to be the Republican's Obama? Ha... His speech was horrendous. He sounded like a 5th grader who can't act trying out for a school play.
