That is why during the last Offseason I urged the Rockets to try and trade Tracy Mc Grady before the next bad back occurance. If they had made a move and not been duped by JVG and his win now campaign, we would not be in this position, which we will be faced with, on and off, for several years. Our only way out is that if sometime in the future McGrady has to retire for medical reasons and the NBA grants us an exception.Otherwise the Rockets will pay him his contract. I still consider Tracy Mc Grady as a very valuable part of our team, yet I am afraid that we will expect too much from him. He must play with caution, never to go all out again.

The problem is with Head starting, who is gonna guard Kobe? If Shane does then who is gonna guard Luke Walton? Mismatch big time.

I think you'll see V-Span on Kobe a lot. Which means that (A) V-Span will get about 3 steals and (B) Kobe will take around 20 free throws.

i am pretty sure head will start.

we had 4 good/great 6'5''-6'8'' wing players in tmac/battier/wells/snyder at the start of the season, for whatever reasons, only battier available now, it's like last year, undersized in almost all positions except for the center.

I was bored so I googled "back spasm", I found some really intersting stuff, thought it would be cool to share it with y'all even though a lot of people on this board seem to know a whole lot of this thing.
    TERRIBLE WORKOUT FORM?

I think this is a really good website, it has a lot of "treatment" ideas. I think we should send it to Tmac  .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't is a 1 year contract with a player option for the second year? I mean, we don't get to keep him next year unless his value is next to nothing and he picks up the option, right? I was pretty sure it's not just a 2 year deal. Someone help me out, am I right or wrong?

It's not like you named a couple of iron men there. On top of that these are guys who would never see T-Mac's level on the court. None of them have playmaking abilities, or even the proper handles and vision to be a playmaker. More so, which one of them plays D?

I say leave him. I think it's best he sits out a week, and see what we look like without him. We're far deeper and Yao is getting better with every letter typed in this entire forum.

I am with Yetti on this one. Rockets now have the most expensive 6th man in the league.

positive thinking on tmac...he will be back and he will be fine this year...good news on bonzi

this should help us go deep in playoffs...

yao can carry this team for a few games...

I'm not saying that either Vince or Rashard is as good as a healthy TMac. But they are all-star level wing players, both will be available this summer, and neither suffers from a chronic injury like TMac. All I'm saying is that we need to avoid a Grant Hill situation here. For a team that was supposedly built to win now, we can't afford to have TMac average 30 games a year, year after year.

I think there is very little chance that Bozi will see the floor unless Rockets are getting killed at the wing position and have no hope to win the game. But knowing JVG, if these happen it is still a long shot.

Agree with the positive thinking. Just think Shaq shutting it down for a few months of a season so he is refreshed for the playoffs. Tmac will come back strong, plus this allows other players to step up and get acclimated with playing big minutes. Let's just hope Bonzi develops good chemistry. He's got the game, just needs tune his mind to the right channel.

The West is so deep, you might not make the playoffs without TMac.

And anyway, even if TMac comes back for the playoffs, there's no guarantee that we wouldn't pull his back again during the playoffs.

I thought Tmac said in the beginning of the season that his back is fine and he is healthy. That his back was not going to bother him again. I think now TMAC is going to be injury prone until he hangs them up.

you gotta remember though that Tmac IS the best player you can possibly get for this team because he CAN play with Yao. not only that, but he actually GIVES the ball to Yao, he actually makes him better. Yao cant carry this team by himself the whole season like he did in the last 6 minutes of the Washington game. even if you get AI or whoever u want to play with him, it will be worse. we will end up with a ball-hog and a great center waiting to get the ball. Yao and a "broke-back" Tmac are 10 times better than Yao and ------(fill in the blank here with whatever name you want, from DWade to LEbron)
