That's actually the complete opposite of what Larry Brown's been about for most of his career.

Last night's 4th quarter collapse broke the camel's back. LB is finally done as an NBA coach.

I can't believe Paul Silas is a serious candidate, even as interim. I could see Woody finishing up the season. MJ needs to make a great hire next summer or else the Bobcats will remain a backwater team forever.

    Bobcats shouldn't exist.

Instead of moving the New Orleans Hornets, the NBA needs to fix the mistake and go back in time. Move the Hornets back to Charlotte, and move this Bobcats crap to Seattle and make em into the Sonics. We can leave the Thunder where they are because Durant is the franchise.

Really...maybe in SA and Philly, although AI was already there, he helped build something but with the Clips, Indiana and Detroit he joined playoff teams. In New York and Charlotte he was asked to build and it didn't go so great, although he did do a heck of a job to get Charlotte in the playoffs last year, he also has them in salary cap hell for the time being.

Edit - Pre-SA, not so sure about building teams. I know he lead Kansas to a title and did pretty well at UCLA but not much I can say about either.

Oh come on. That would be like saying no Houston football fans have ever experienced the playoffs, since the Texans have never made it.

The Charlotte fans saw the Hornets make the playoffs about 6-7 times back with Alonzo Mourning and Grandmama. You are merely talking about the expansion team -- Bobcats. The East sucks and it took Brown two years to increase wins from 32 to 44. Wow, that's huge.

btw: can anyone explain to me why Brown nixed the Chandler for Calderon and Evans, then turned around and did that bs trade with Dallas. Also, what was the Boris Diaw dump for nothing. He basically flipped his team during his tenure and it didn't work out but for getting Stephen Jackson to revive himself.

Patrick Ewing as head coach would make Isaiah Thomas look like Red Aeurbach.

But I would love to see Ewing and Jordan running the show, what a circus that would be.

Clippers and *cue Jim Mora* PLAYOFFS?!
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAC/

1991-92 Clippers coaches - M. Schuler (21-24), M. Calvin (1-1), L. Brown (23-12) That might have been one of his best jobs ever.

Clippers since 1977, 33 seasons, have had only FOUR playoff appearances. Larry Brown had two of them. And they almost beat the '93 Rockets in the playoffs.

After JVG, I wanted the Rockets to hire Larry Brown instead of Adelman. As long as Morey did the player acquisitions.

Unless another job pops up giving Brown a gazzillion dollars, I think he's done as a coach for good.

Love to see Patrick Chewing as the new coach. As if the team isn't an embarrassment of franchises enough.

Just like he did in new york. Ruin the franchise then leave. The Bobcats could of had a team of Okafor J- Rich and they could of drafted Brook Lopez. But he's too stupid to develop talent.

I think silas is a good coach. I think if they had let him be, he would have done a better job with lebron than brown did.

Larry Brown is 70 years old. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires for good after this.
