    Right... There is nobody on that roster besides Kobe and Gasol that they would want. Odom, Bynum, and Artest would unlikely be centerpieces in any trade to a rebuilding team.

    He was in one with Shaq, But he wasn't happy with it, they didn't even make playoffs and their coach got fired

    Well Bynum is still young enough to be a rebuilding piece....but i imagine they hope Bynum will develop and be ready for more responsibility by the time Kobe starts to significantly decline or is gone.

    He doesn't deserve a ring? he made phoenix relevant after he signed with them and won two mvp's by showing a system and offense that sounds stupid can work with the right players. he's a good guy he deserves a ring more so than alot of other players who have won.

    I see him going to the lakers and the rockets trade would be brilliant. we would upgrade and become legitimate contenders.

    Nash/Lowry --> good start/back up
    Martin/Lee/Budinger -> good scoring
    Battier (this guy needs to go)
    Scola/Patterson --beast
    Gortat/brad miller/hayes --> beast.

    we would rock the best paint group aside from the lakers.

    Let me be sure I understand this. You're not giving up Martin or Scola and you think there's enough on the Rockets' roster to acquire Melo, Nash and Gortat? Pardon me if I suggest you need a reality check.

    It wasn't Nash or Shaq that got Porter fired. It was Porter's Van Gundy-ish overemphasis of defense. Nash would have no more problems with a low post presence than Magic had with Kareem.

    If they still had Amare and Frye was not in a shooting slump, there'd be no trade talks regarding the Suns.

    Getting Nash suddenly makes Melo float over here? Rockets aren't getting Melo and Nash certainly isn't enough to get Carmelo to come here. The Knicks have Stoudemire, the Bulls have Rose, there are plenty better options than Houston.

    I hear you and wouldn't mind Nash winning a ring, but I'm not going to say he deserves one. I hope he gets traded to a contender.

    And what will they give for Nash? West isn't the GM of PHX.

    Would they even do that deal? I'll even add JJ's expiring contract+the knicks picks+C-bud to make it happen.

    I wished the Suns had traded nash to the magic, along with richardson and turk and taken back jameer additional picks, cash etc (whatever it took)... The thought of nash running the pick and roll with Howard rolling to the basket and richardson, Turk, reddick or Arenas spotting up at the 3 point line is sublime, (atleast offensively). I can easily imagine Howard shooting well over 60% with Nash and Arenas, Reddick, turk and Richardson all shooting 40+ & from 3.

    Nash/Arenas/Reddick
    Richardson/Arenas/Reddick
    Turk/Richardson
    Bass/Turk/Andersen
    Howard/Bass

    While this lineup may not be as well rounded as the Celtics, Lakers, Spurs or heat, it sure looks like one impressive offensive juggernaut, perhaps even more so than the Suns of nash/Amare/marion/. And with Howard manning the middle, it would at the very least be an average defensive and rebounding team.

    If they don't trade him, Nash will probably roll out and leave them as a free agent after next year (so the Suns will most likely put it off to the last minute, because everyone love him down there).

    He would probably do the the thing that would piss off a lot of people and go sign with the Heat or Lakers for a very low price.

    Couldn't blame him though, 37 (by then) for a PG is NBA old, no time to play around anymore and hope for a team to get it together.

    Shannon Brown, Lamar Odom, Steve Blake, Draft Picks . . . rights to Sergei Loushik (ok the last one's a stretch)

    That was just a bad situation. It would have been a great move with a different coach. Dantoni wasn't really willing to change the way the suns played to accommodate a post up player. Yeah, Nash and Amare's whining was annoying but a different coach would have forced them to suck it up, play defense, and incorporate Shaq's post ups in their offense.

    I fully believe that Nash would have a ring by now if he had played in the type of system that wins championships. A team with defenders as well as bigs that rebound and post up. Of course, his numbers wouldn't be nearly as gaudy and he probably would have never been mvp.

    I do wonder if Nash would even be willing to adjust to play in a slower paced offense but at this point in his career with the Suns slumping he may be willing to go to any playoff team.

    Blake and Odom are too old for Phoenix, both past 30. Their picks will suck for at least another 3, maybe 4 yrs.

    It doesn't make sense for LA to do it. They lose defense and their bench. If it's not broken, they won't fix it.
