Expect a huge push in twitch military recruiting once the Biden (Obama 2.0) drone war kicks off again. Going to need lots of pilots to bomb weddings

Yes I know what the issues is.

As a Gen X'er, I am ashamed we birthed reality TV.

Hopefully the Zoomers will one day feel the same shame of birthing Twitch.

I have no problem with Twitch. If people want to watch people play video games, what's the difference with that and people watching football or basketball?

As for AOC, I disagree with her that the military shouldn't recruit young people into the armed services. That said, I do think HOW they recruit young people needs to be monitored and ensured they are not misrepresenting the military in a way to be manipulative.

It's one thing to let kids know about the benefits towards education that enlisting gives you. It's another to say that being in the army is like playing a video game. There's a line here and so as rules are drawn up to prevent the marketing to cross that line, I wouldn't take issue with it. But I can understand why some do.

Okay, I understand what you are saying better here than what you said before. Concerning the military, it really isn’t for everyone, or really most people.

I wouldn’t assume Biden will use drones to the same extreme Obama did.

Ehh...too many hotspots around the globe right now. He will be pushed hard by the guys with stars on their shoulders. It will be drones or special operations. He will lean on drones. My personal favorite group is MILF from the Phillipines. Moro Islamic Liberation Front.....

Really? Try watching Twitch. It's hard for adults because you are basically watching this

I mean, it's a ridiculous argument though. People with a college degree make far more than those without regardless of the degree they get. To say that you have a better financial future going to the military over college makes no sense.

There are many reasons kids go to the military and nothing is wrong with taking the military route first then college.
I know plenty of people who have done that.

You also forget that some people just like being in the military. it's not all about money.

The only thing is you have to hear the random "this is much easier than somalia" remark once in awhile.

I think he was assuming that they would not finish college and have no ambition.

There were a lot of assumptions.

I have no issue with the military or people going to the military before college. Just think anyone who argues that the military is a better financial future instead of college is being dishonest at best.

it depends on what they want to do in college. if you are an art history major, probably going to the marines won't help your career.

Have you tried making a foreigner watch a baseball game on TV? Or even worse, have you ever tried to watch cricket?

Yes, that is what I stated. No assumptions. I specifically stated those who had the focus to complete college will most likely do better than going to the military.

I understand Twitch is like watching the NBA, NFL or MLB. Im not making a blanket 'everyone' statement. There are those who can be a productive member of society and still enjoy video games. But lets be realistic, nobody is play basketball till 4 am 8-12 hours a day, day in and day out...unless they are pros.

Spending hours in front of a screen day in and day out is not healthy for humans. Regardless if its Twitch, playing video games or watching sports.
