What did a young Pelosi look like. Either way its lame, the people who actually see it are probably registered
Pelosi didn't get elected to office until she was 47, while AOC was 30. Though even pictures of young Pelosi -- she's alright but not as hot as AOC. But that stuff doesn't matter. Young RBG wasn't too bad looking, but people don't think of her that way now; we think about the things she's done. It is the pervasive misogyny of the day that makes this conversation always steer to AOC's looks on the assumption that it is the only basis for her popularity. I'm sure it has helped her in life, including getting elected. But what I mostly see in her is a ton of energy to do stuff and push a progressive agenda. And a lot of savvy political decisions to avoid bad controversies and invite useful ones. I expect people will continue to underestimate her to their own detriment.
Random thought. She seems very popular in NY, no doubt. But also a very hot topic with Republicans outside of NY. I feel like Republicans talk about her more than any other group outside of New Yorkers. Republicans seem to be the most responsible for her popularity.
