Nugzfan...WHEN you have to trade Mcdyess, it will most likely be a sign and trade. Otherwise you WILL lose him for nothing. that being the case, you will most certainly have to take on a high contract player who is not of the same calibur or Dice to make the deal work salarywise. Getting such a player with only one year left on his contract is not so far fetched.
the sooner you realize the rockets are no better than the nuggets, you will not want to do this deal either cuz dice will just walk. kiki is a great GM so far. he might not be great next year but right now he has done far more good than bad. if you cannot understand how rices contract **** us over for a guy who wont contribute for a year at least, then your a bigger moron than initial estimates have figure you out to be. so keep the nugget insults coming...all it does is prove me right. you have nothing else to say. the entire basis of your points were flawed tremendously and shot down one by one. the deal wont happen - its as simple as that. besides, i dont see your team playing right now. you got NO ROOM to talk **** boy. none whatsoever. your team has plenty (PLENTY) of problems and made mistakes like my team and most other teams have recently.

hmmm imissed that the first time.. anwyays, we didnt make the playoffs with nve, raef, aj and wahad...so why not dump them, gain better draft picks and cap room while winning actually more (we had a better record after the trade than before). it was a solid trade which gave us a future while sacrificing very little presently (i miss raef though).
Hypothetically, they'd take Ming and the trade wouldn't happen until they saw who Denver was able to select for them at the #4. One of JWill, Wagner or Woods has to be available. The #5 you take best PF. Then you have Curry, best PF, Chandler (who seems to like SF). You can always hand over PG chores to Rose. JWill and Wagner will probably have equal marketing power, and Woods might be the best of the three, eventually. I don't know. I'd take Ming and try to trade Curry for JWill, like to Memphis since they want a center. Or maybe add something to him and get McDyess. I'm just saying. I could see Krause going either way, and really just lying about wanting Ming badly.
Which part of the #5 & #14 picks did you miss? If I'm not mistaken, OP has stated that the Rockets are attempting to package the picks and Rice so I hardly consider offering Denver a chance of Ming for McDyess as in the "stupid A$$, illogical, homer-induced trade proposal" category.

My God this thread has exploded! I go to lunch and all hell has broken loose. I have a feeling that maybe a trade might lie somewhere in the middle of what we want and Nugzfan wants. I know that Rudy has been in love with McDyess's game for a while, and the Rockets are going to inquire about him. Expect to see every option thrown the nuggets way with the exception of our big three. If we are somehow able to land a high lotto pick we would have lots more leverage to work with.

BTW, hypothetically of course, think of some other teams that could use a 20-10 PF who hasn't reached his prime yet, think what they could offer for Dice. (Just to name a few) Seattle: Rashard Lewis, Mason LAC: Odom, Maggette NJ: Van Horn Charlotte\NO: Campbell, resigned Nailon, Magloire Hell, even Memphis can offer Swift & Dickerson. That's a fair reason. You could have mentioned long ago though. Actually, I would. Something tells my there are other fans who value Ming or Williams (or 4-5-14) higher than you do. I was actually surprised by your opinion.
