He has to. He is working for a new contract and will be trying to redeem himself from the past season.
I still do, hes got to redeem himself somehow, he needs to prove to this orginization that he deserves to be resigned with this team for the coming years, prove that hes worth it.
It makes no sense for him to play. It certainly doesn't help the Rockets any - they're not contending and him playing only gets in the way of their future plans. After the crap he pulled on them last year, why would the Rockets want to even give him the opportunity to rebuild his image at the expense of their future growth? Not to mention his only value to anyone is as an expiring contract. So why put him on the court? Doesn't insurance pick up the tab as long as he doesn't play? It really doesn't make any sense for him to play at all.
Please tell me why he doesn't deserve a chance. The only crap he pulled was not telling about the surgery thing. Apart from that he has given everything to the Rockets and played through injuries. If T-Mac plays well, then this team is a lot better than others he's lead into the playoffs.
Too many T-Mac threads that have said the same thing using different words...I'm tired of T-Mac...let's wait for him to play...
Couldnt have said it better myself ... Tmac is younger than kobe ( by a little) so i dont see what makes people think that Tracy is done. He has done MANY great things for this team despite all of his injuries. He is going to come out next year healthy, and proove every one of the HATERS wrong and then they are going to jump on the tmac bandwagon, wait and see. i STILL believe in T- MAC! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/p_CGxj3dHGA&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/p_CGxj3dHGA&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I think it's so amazing how many Rocket fans hate T-Mac. Play a couple bad games hurt, and some Rocket fans turn on him like he killed someone. You see how the man is working his ass off in Chicago, people think he gives up when he does all he can in the playoffs for his team to win. Just amazing.
What do you expect? You expect fans to appreciate T-Mac because HE TRIES in the playoffs? Why can't he try All 82 games of the regular season too? Shane Battier does. The only reason why he currently is working hard is because people think he's a joke since the Rockets got past the 1st round without him. Believe me, T-Mac would still be playing on his Nintendo if we failed to get out of the 1st round last season. Tracy only plays for Tracy, He has absolutely no care about anybody else except for himself when it comes down to basketball. Now, He is a good person but it's impossible to NOT say something negative about him basketball wise.

I didn't say you should praise him, I'm just surprise on how much hate he gets. I can understand lot's of fans frustration but you have to realize to begin with he has health issues. Yeah, I'm going to trust that T-Mac is going to be playing his ''Nintendo'' going into his contract year. Tracys been in Chicago since the first round buddy. He only cares about himself on the court? Is that why he's one of the best passing shooting guards in the NBA?
Yeah, it's not like he's led **** teams to 50+ wins while tallying 20+ points and 5+ assists and around 5 rebounds every reasonably healthy season. Just because he elevates his game in the playoffs and plays like a top 5 player in the NBA doesn't mean he doesn't try in the regular season and has no heart.
What garbage team has he ever led to 50+ Wins. You do realize he never won 50+ Games with the Magic right? Those Rocket teams he carried weren't garbage teams either. He had the best center in the league as his 2nd option, and the best perimeter defender in the league in 2007. In 2008, He had great group of role players. Really, I don't know where you got this from, but that is far from the truth.
