Years ago, I went to England on a British passport that was expiring during my stay (didn't realize this until the drive to the airport). The first day there, I went to Wales to get it renewed. They said I could wait a few hours, or they'd mail it. Screw Wales, so I left. The next day, at 8:00 in the morning, my passport was in the mail. And this is like five days before Christmas. Cool story, me.
13 weeks is WAY too long. It never takes me more than 6 weeks and I never get the expedited service. Usually about 2 or 3 weeks. Something's wrong. Hispanic?
I renewed mine back at the end of July to go on a cruise in Sep, got it in 3 weeks with standard service. Did my renewal at the post office in Alvin, and had been expired since 1997. It was a b**** to pay for $100 renewal fee, but at least its good for 10 years
had to apply again for another for a trip overseas after my other was stolen. went to the downtown main office, got it expedited, and it took less than a week. i forget exactly how much it was to expedite, but iirc it was a tad bit lower than 100 bucks. also, one of the clerks let me know that the processing times were fast at the time (about 4-5 months ago). yeah... something doesn't sound right about your passport situation.
Haha nah we're chinese and U.S citizens I have mine already and have been traveling to Taiwan the past 4 yrs. This renewal is for my friend trying to travel with me this Dec.
Is this real? "Without our help, a US passport application can take up to 6 weeks - we can get a US passport in 24 hours!" http://www.passportsandvisas.com/
