Except for Charlie you are right. All the other shows absolutely suck. The morning guy's big question was "why haven't the Rockets cut Steve Francis." You would think that someone who is payed to talk sports would have some inkling of the cba and why it makes no sense to simply cut someone you have a guaranteed contract with. Especially when you already have a roster spot sitting idle. What an idiot!

I wonder how many haters will cry if McGrady was to get traded. Then lets see their faces and who they would blame when the team loses. But key word to all of this is Rumor which most likely isn't true so guys shouldn't even worry bout it.

 

I am not for or against a trade, but am for making the team better, if trading Tmac did this..then I am for it....if trading him makes the team worse, than against it.

no trade will make us a better team in the playoffs unless it involves a top 10 player. and right now, tmac won't net one.

so there's no trade that will make us better. you might get more reg. season games from whoever you trade tracy for, but tracy's the best bet in the playoffs.

 

What if you could get Maggette and Camby for Tmac, would you do it?

Or B-Diddy and Camby?

This is why I will NEVER listen to Monsters of the Mid-day. Those guys have to be the WORST radio hosts on the planet if you want real information. All they do is stir the pot about every little thing.....they are the number one proponents of calling T-Mac weak, and lazy. In fact, just last week, I made the mistake of tuning in to their show (for the first time in like 3 months), and they had a freaking girl (who runs marathons or something) from their office on the show talking about she had the same surgery T-Mac had, and how she was able to recover from it quickly and all that. It was insane how stupid, and idiotic those guys were. T-MAC RELIES ON HIS ATHLETICISM TO PLAY BASKETBALL....HE'S NOT A ******* MARATHON RUNNER! Ask that girl to jump 40 times in a span of 2 hours and see how her knees feel after that. Seriously, anybody who listens to that show other than for pure entertainment (and immediately forgets what they just listened to) is someone I will never discuss sports with. Ever.

 

since maggette plays for the warriors and camby plays for the clippers. i'm guessing this trade wouldnt work...

 

again, when you look at all trades, you have to think will that trade make us a better team in the playoffs than if we had tracy healthy?

i might pull a baron davis (though he sucks this year proving he needs a good system to play in) so looking back, i think morey would still say no. the clips are fairly talented and baron davis is leading them nowhere. unless we move the pace up like the warriors, baron davis is not gonna be that good for us.

the only trades i woudl go for is if it involves a great perimeter playmaker/scorer who can demand double teams consistently b/c that is what tmac does. i'd do it for a joe johnson type player. joe's not the better playoff performer (he struggled mightily last yr) but at least he's near tracy's level.

John Lopez and Ted Deluca should be taken to the woodshed for broadcasting this and giving it an audience.

But then again I think John Lopez is a tool and a hack....I sorta expect this from him to get any kind of attention to his show.

John Lopez is the complete opposite of Charlie Palilo as far as reputation as a radio personality, and could be considered the long lost separated twin of Rich Lord sports knowledge wise, and well...you ever see those 2 guys in person?

 

In my opinion Morey made a HUGE mistake when the Lakers were looking to listen on Kobe's trade. Morey came out on HoustonChronicle and declared that Tmac will be perfect fit for the Rox and not looking to trade him. I came out on this board and say it is the stupidest thing i ever heard. How can you not trade Tmac for Kobe Bryant? C'mon...or how can you not listen in when the Lakers' GM say he's looking to listen in on Kobe's trade??

It's hopeless now because since then....the Lakers got Pau Gasol which pretty much solidified any trade talk involving Kobe Bryant. But man...at the time...when they were looking to listen to Kobe trade..i was like damm how can Morey not listen in ??? I don't know whether he had any talk with the Lakers but to come out on Chronicle and declared to keep Tmac over Kobe trade is the single biggest mistake ever made by Morey.

This team would have been a sure Championship team with Kobe than with the injured-prone Tmac.

 

Overlooking that Maggette and Camby play for different teams, Maggette is the exact player we DON'T need. When he's in the game, his shot is the only thing he plays for. He doesn't make his teammates better, and defense is not a word that's even in his vocabulary. People in the Bay Area call him Regrette for a reason.

And if people question T-Mac's fire and desire, what are they gonna do when Baron has one of his classic "phoning it in" games where he goes 4-17 after jacking up 8 threes?

So basically, the answer to your question is a resounding NO to both.

I'm listening and the guy they interviewed say T-Mac was doing the right thing by not playing and the host keep insisting because he didn't have the comment of hating on T-Mac that he wants and he was the one bringing the Wally trade.

The host say he want Wally because he wants someone who can play, the irony is that Wally knock have been that he is always injured.

The Monster of the Midday are a negative driven radio show, the hate to get ratting like most of the shows on TV and Radio, and T-Mac is his scapegoat.
