Today will be the last day to sign up for spots. I'll take a look at the board tomorrow, take my 5, and then split up the remainder of the teams (as of today would only need 4 more teams to be claimed). This should give us a few days to hash out trades and do scouting reports.

A PM functionality would be perfect for this, as well as unlimited edit times, but since we have neither (not complaining Clutch!), I'll try to keep this moving as smoothly as possible. I'm sure being the first time around and with relatively little interest, it'll be slow going at first, but it should be a good diversion for those of us who are sick to our stomachs about the (looming) possibility of a lockout.

Also, just thinking a little ahead:
(1) I think the best way to do this is to have the managers of each team e-mail me through the board their picks. You can have a top 3 or top 5 or just one pick as long as they're available. I'll act as the commish and post it up on here. I think that'll lessen the clutter a bit. Feel free to chime in after the pick is announced to give your rationale for picking that particular player.

(2) Let's try to shoot for about 5 picks a day or so. Don't want to let it slow down to a crawl. If after a period of time (1 day? 2 days?) you still haven't made the pick, your pick will be skipped. You can then e-mail me your pick at any time but if there is a player that is taken before you e-mail me your pick, that player is no longer available to you.

(3) Just have fun with it. If, for example, you're picking for the Oakland Raiders, and you think that Player X is the best fit for the team but Player Y runs a 4.29 40 time and you think Al Davis would take him based on that alone, feel free to go either way with it. This isn't serious, just a nice little diversion.
