I as well am seriously confused by this post. You tell Jeff's wife that she obviously doesn't know what she is talking about, and then proceed to post several links which, at least to me, seem to prove her point...

Yeah that was fadeaway's crappy thread. The other one was great, however. :D

Wow. I can't believe this thread got this long. Or maybe I should, I dunno. :D

I was just making an off-the-cuff remark when I posted earlier, because this is something I never really thought about. But now that I have (been forced to) I might as well put in my 2 cents.

I always wash. It's something that's been burned into my brain, just like putting on a seatbelt or something.

It comes down to two things:

1. Its about respect. Like fadeaway said (though I think he's a little paranoid about germs. ;) ) about coming in contact with someone and hoping they have the common courtesy to practice a little hygiene. When you go through your day you are handling a hell of a lot of stuff. It would be nice to know some people out there try to cut down on at least some of nasty crap out there.

I hold open a door when someone is walking behind me, I am much more willing to let someone into the lane when they have their signal on and have been waiting, I will pick up the pen the person in the desk next to me dropped if it's hard for them to reach it. I think about it along those same lines. But hey, not everyone thinks like that, and that's fine. That's what makes everyone different. Which leads me to...

2. The fact that I KNOW there are people who don't take the time to wash...in fact not much at all. This thread confirms that. So, yeah, when I wash my hands in the restroom I'm cleaning my hands - BUT I'm also cleaning the sh*t I picked up from those of you that don't wash throughout the day. Maybe I'm a little selfish in this regard, but probably the main reason I wash is because I know I have handled a lot of crap that you dirty little f*ckers have handled and it's my chance to get some of YOUR urinal germs off of ME. :D

Man, only in the Hangout could you find a topic like this. Maybe somebody here who knows something about psychology can find a way to explain this away. Is there some sort of disorder where you have to have people touch stuff that's touched...er....you?[IMG]

Achebe talking about "ass air" and "penis essence"......stop it man, you're KILLING me! Have mercy, my sides can't take any more!

Get a grip, man! Following the Bulls and their eternal losing should make you sicker than worrying about if someone has been touching their Johnson and not washing.

I said that I usually wash..so sue me for being truthful in forgetting some times.

The best that I can remember is that I have had the flu twice and some colds. Surprisingly, no herpes, hepatitis, AIDS, gonorrea, etc.

Now you damn germophobes have gotten me thinking about this every time I go to the bathroom. Not only with the washing but touching the faucett, doorknobs, etc.

Even though Achebe was killing me with his quotes, there are more important things in life to worry about than if someone washes after taking a giant s*it.

Lynus302: I knew that you would enjoy this thread!

I understand that you are wanting to be clean and everything, but damn, some of you are just a tad bit overreactionary and obsessive compulsive here. I guess fadeaway washes his hands 12 times a day.

I want to say two things...

1. What is up with all the penis issues? The penis is no more inherently dirty than any other part of you. "Dirty" referring to the penis brings up all kinds of issues. This thread probably has enough test cases for a book on germophobia and sexual dysfunction. Paging Dr. Freud!

2. Cleanliness is your own responsibility. Since every door knob you touch probably indirectly was grazed by someone's penis (or vagina for that matter), shaking a hand that did is about as far from your biggest problem as you can get.

Yeah, you're right. I misread your post. I apologize. How embarassing.

Must have been all the germs in the air clouding my vision. ;)

Y'all are getting the wrong idea about me here, so let me clear some things up.

• I am not afraid of everyday germs or bacteria.
• I am not excessive compulsive about hand-washing.
• If I drop a cookie or something on my living room floor, I'll pick it up, brush it off a bit and eat it, no worries.
• I do, however, believe in washing up after using the bathroom and expect others to do the same. Is that so wrong?

So, I'm still confused about how most of you are sickened by the thought of the penis being on someone's hand, yet I'm sure you'd never turn down a blow job. That's hypocrisy my friends.

BTW, I never stated that I don't wash my hands after I poo, I do.

Oh, this is funny.

Think about this achebe (I'm assuming you don't pay for it too often since you're married...pretty sure the rest do), next time the 'ol ball and chain gives you a hummer, then she wants to kiss you...imagine instead of kissing your wife, you're sucking on my fingers after I pissed. Same freakin' thing!!!

I am seriously alarmed at the number of people in here who think it's okay not to wash!

I can assume that picking your nose and making contact with people is okay too?! GROSS!

:)

If I were ever lucky enough to ever get a hummer, actually... what is a hummer?, anyway if I were ever lucky enough to get a hummer... I don't think that I could/would make this analogy.

Now if we were double stuffing your girlfriend, and then she snowballed me after giving you a hummer, I'd see your point...

ps. rimbaud, you're gross.

I've got a thought for you paranoid hygienists. When someone takes a dump & somehow gets poo on their hands, then goes to wash them, they have to turn the faucet on with the poo on their hands. Then, they wash their hands & turn the faucet off. Doesn't that just put the poo right back on their hands? :D All they did was waste soap, paper towels, & water. As a result, the price of my movie tickets, food, or other entertainment just went up & you still have poo on your hands. Your hygiene habits are costing me money. Stop it! :D
