IVFL: I can guarantee the Tke slogan has been around well over ten years at every campus in the nation. Other's I remember, Phi Delt=Try Delt KKG=Katcha Katcha Ghonnoreah AXO=Almost Chi O. Pike=Dyke I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of.
I could walk to your parties in Nacogdoches. I lived for several years in a house on Harris street (it's was one street back and parrallel to....what was that road....the one that went out to the lake?). No offense though; I hardly ever went to any of your parties--there always seemed to be one going on at my own house.
pledgeship was the most fun i never want to relive. it sucked at the time but eh im glad i did it. it makes you appreciate what you have and freetime and whatnot. cool little thing you probably didnt know that kinda relates to the rockets: mattress mac was a texas pike. tim magraw and jon stewart were also pikes i know matthew mccaugnahey parties at the delt house here at UT sometimes which is badass. you get alot of cool little hookups from being in a fraternity but fraternities arent for everyone
Awesome Chance !! Theta Tau here. We traveled a few times to the SFA house for parties....in the late 80s early 90s. Good chapter up there. In Hoc Signo Vinces. Steak Sauce Carrot Sauce my brother. DD
Maybe I am and maybe I'm not, but at least I know the secret handshakes and sayings. That is...if we have those things..... Did you guys ever get the "how high can an Eagle fly" thing that people were sure was part of our ritual.... Hilarious. DD
I was a proud member of Tappa Kegga Bru at the University of Texas at Austin from 1979-1983. I was also an honorary member of Eta Kappa Acid.
MadMax, Cool that we were in college at the same time! I decided to not do college my first two years. I was a graduate of Bellaire High School in 1990. CLASS OF '90 RULES!! I'm going streaking now. I'll be back in about 10 minutes.
Fatty, as a fellow Baylor alum I would like to say please never, ever, ever compare frat hazing w/ boot camp again.
Early 90's, & no - but my roommates & nearly all of my friends were - and unless something drastically changed b/w then & now, hazing in no way compares to anything remotely resembling the military. Hazing to me doesn't seem like that big of a deal most of the time. I mean, if you're gonna rush, you pretty much know you're in for some ****. Hazing = extended episode of jackass at worst, nothing more.
