I'm quite aware that he agreed with me this time. He called me that because he disagreed with what I wrote somewhere else. Or possibly because I didn't bow down and kiss the whiny needy a$$es of the posters who got their feelings hurt because I wasn't Ward Cleaverlike when I told them Badigame blows.

Honestly, I thought someone here "in the know" confirmed that Calvin would be doing play-by-play again for 2005-06 season alongside Bill.

I think it was mentioned in January.

Why in the hell do we need a court of law when we have so many judges on this board?

I talked to Jeff Hagadorn on Monday. He said Calvin will do the home games and Bull will do the road. 'nuff said.

If viewers know he's innocent but don't like him, then why should the Rockets hire him back?

It brings the question of whether personalities should have to be solid at home or is it okay to accept them for the face they put on at work?

I was a fan of Kobe because I followed his career early on, but after his squeaky clean image changed, I quickly turned against his selfish play. Before I figured eventually he'd grow up.

It only takes an accusation of scandal for people to pry open your life and rip up your past into a 200 word summary that fits the writers' biases. Are these personalities the victims, or was it their responsibility to have followed a standard higher than other people?

    yea...gotta agree there.

If Ill has ever made a post that wasnt all about making snap judgements and talking sh*t...I havent seen it.

feel free to show it to me if it exists...but until then...I dont think
    he/she posts anything worth reading..

    ontopic...

    9 women....how old is Calvin?
There are regular ppl out there who have been married more than 5 times...some of them before the age of 40....and they are just regular people...
Imagine a sportsstar back in the age of sexual freedom..
think he had a chance to make it with dozens of women over the years?
I woul dthink so....doesnt make him a bad person...maybe irresponsible for not taking precautions...but I would wager a large majority of you guys woul djump everything with a skirt if you were in his place.

judge not, lest you be judged.

    R2K,

For the record, I could care less about Calvin having so many children from so many different women.

I am apalled at how he was basically ashamed of his out of wedlock kids and didn't want them publically acknowledging that he was their father.

There is not a worse thing in the world to me than a father (or mother) making his offspring feel ashamed that they are his kids. I just can't even imagine how bad that makes a kid feel. Doesn't mean they have the right to file false charges and slander him, but when you treat someone poorly and give them incentive for revenge.........................

    C,

I understand that...and notice that I didnt touch on that..

all I did was comment on the folks that were jumping n the sexual activity itself...considering the timeframe and the waythings were back then...I dont find it that unusual.

now....as a father...it disturbs me that he apparently didnt at least try to keep things civil and provide the sort of support that all his kids need.
I'd like to think that if I was in his situation...and making the kind of money that Im sure he was making...I woul dhave done things differently.

but since we arent necessarily privy to the inside dynamics of the relationships(or lack thereof), we really arent in a good position to judge...and you know me...as a pollyannish sunshine ass by nature...Im not about to start being judgemental about a situation I know next to nothing about.

but suffice to say...if the reports are accurate...It does disturb me and make me think less of Calvin as a man....
as a broadcaster....I still love the job he does and want him back behind the mic.

Here's a snap judgement. That was a moronic post. After that post, you should declare your own posts are not worth reading.

Fathering kids out of wedlock has always been a bad thing... He wasn't married to most of those women. In fact, he was married to someone else when he got some of the women pregnant.

As Codell said, refusing to acknowledge those kids in public is even worse. Calvin created some of his problems. He made the kids feel he was ashamed of them.

If you are going to be a ****, please don't include me in your post as if we are on the same side.

    Thanks.

Don't be a hater dude....the reason he didn't make it public that he had so many kids from different women is because people like you are so eager to pass judgement on him and uhmm oh yeah its none of your business....

Calvin is actually from my hometown in Norwalk CT and went to school with my parents and uncle. My uncle is writing a book on Calvin and just got through spending a week interviewing him for it. We had lunch while he was down and he indicated that it didn't look like Calvin would be back but he couldn't be sure.

He also said that Calvin takes care of all his kids financially and actually had to hock his Hall of Fame Ring several years ago in order to get money to support his family.

So don't be so quick to start spewing your diatribes until you have all the details and have walked a mile in that persons shoes...

Its not that I disagree with some of what you say, its that you have no couth. I, like many posters here, have been on this board a long time. Many years more than my registration date indicates. Excluding the D&D, we use the golden rule as a benchmark for etiquette. You on the other hand go to great lengths to be a complete and total douchbag. Didnt your mama ever teach you manners?

Sir, I was responding to someone who was being an a$$ to me. I only included your name in my post because I agreed with your statement. There is no side here. Just people expressing their views. I don't need anyone on my side.....

The guy with the user name "Master Baiter" is giving lectures on being couth. How funny is that? Also is calling me a douchebag your idea of being couth? Save it for someone dumb enough to fall for your crap.

I'm a father of two boys. Those boys need me around to guide them. It's my number 1 priority in life. There is more to raising your kids than giving them cash. Being a part of their daily life is important too.

Did your uncle asks Calvin why he asked his illegitimate kids not to call him their dad in public? That's wrong no matter how you slice it and so is fathering kids with other women while you're married.

I hope Calvin is back next season. I miss him.

All I'm going to say to the people judging Calvin is this: You've never been in his position so don't try to compare the way you've lived your life to the way he's lived his. You haven't been faced with the same situations. I don't care what you say, you don't know how you'd react until you are confronted with those same situations, and you never will be. In fact, most of us are lucky if our wives still want to sleep with us. :D

p.s. Ill Skillz is simply rude and shows very little respect for the posters on this board. I, for one, am all for seeing him banned. Voicing your opinion is one thing, constantly being rude and disrespectful to pretty much everybody who addresses you is a different thing entirely.

I don't recall ever hearing Calvin say this. You should be cautious of what you read and hear in the printed / televised media. These people or notorious drama queens and love to feed the rumor mill with speculation. If you choose to whole heartedly believe the stuff they spew without verifying it that is your nieve choice.

If you have done differently then Calvin cudos for you. But spare me and the other posters on this board from your self rightious judgement of others, this is not the medium for that. Now back to sports and specifically Rockets talk....

    :)
