LOL. This was a defense so dominant that it only allowed 20 pts all season long. Guess firing Kevin Steel really helped the program out.

I have all but one college classic done and that is the BYU-SMU game. Man, it's tough. As far as the dynasty goes, I won the national championship with UT and then started over as I got more players's names into the system. Anyone know how to freakin' kick a consistant onside kick?

I posted the answer somewher in this thread. Just look back through it and you'll see the easiest way to do it. I beat that challenge 50-45.

I would assume it's the same as before. Just angle the ball up very slightly, let the meter go up about 1/4, and don't hit x in the yellow zone. You should get a nice little bounce.

I just started the college classics last night and got about 1/3-1/2 way through. I took one look at the BYU-SMU game and went "Uh, maybe later". That one's going to be a pain. Not really looking forward to Nebraska/Mizzou (no passing at all), the 2 Hail Marys, and Cal/Stanford either.

The biggest problem I have with the classics is that you're not sure where they're dropping you into the game. The VT/Syracuse game I had no idea it was going to be 4th and goal from the 11. Almost called a running play to set up the pass before I happened to see the 4th marker.

Still interesting though to see what you can do in the situations. Like it the "Greatest game ever played in the Swamp" I ended up scoring 3 TD's (offensive, recovered fumble at the 5, interception return) and I had fun running back an interception 105 yards to seal the UVA/FSU game.

Actually just use regular kick off. It works much better than on-side kicking.

Or play on Heisman which eliminates almost any easiness you may have in Dynasty mode.

The problem with Heisman mode is that the computer always cheats when you get ahead. There always seems to be an untimely fumble or ridiculous INT in the red zone when I'm about to score on the CPU late in the game. That's one instance where the AI is a little exaggerated.

I'd rather that happen than blowing them away 50-0 every game on all-american. There's no inbetween.

I agree Heisman mode is buggy

I play All-american and not always a blow out...depends on who you play. If you constantly play top five teams, you'll lose one or 2 every now and then...

this is consistant with the real college football environment, good teams like miami, osu, texas, fl...only lose once or twice at the most...

Yeah, but I don't see why someone should complain about difficulty level when you can get a higher difficulty. I could probably go undefeated with just about any team on All-American, its just too easy to do PA passes.

I don't know what system you have, but if you press select while trying to choose a college classic game on PS2, it will give you some history on the game, and tell you essentially where you'll be when the classic starts. Some are a little ambiguous, but usually you get a pretty good idea.

I was able to do the BC Hail Mary w/ Flutie on my first try. Of the Hail Mary plays, i prefer the one with 5 wr's, and one cuts in before going deep...That guy seems to be "open" pretty often.

WTF?!? OK, I mostly sim seasons, more of a GM-type player. Anyway, I took over CU who sucks to start out (we have no QB's) and in 15 years, I took them to 7 national championships and 15 bowl games, only losing one.

So in 2019, after winning back-to-back national championships, CU fired me. I met all of the goals they had listed, I had an A+ approval ranking and had won 28 straight games. Go figure.

This Game is awesome... The Create a school is off the charts awesome.. from the unis.. to the pre programmed names.. For example I created boston University... and the name Terriers I wouldnt expect to be on this game but when they come out Brad Nessler says " This game between the Texas Longhorns and the Terriers..." Totally awesome...This game is 10 times better than last years NCAA I would recomend it to any football fan... But as I digress I know Madden will be just as good if not better... So I will just have to get that one as well..
