Just picked up the last copy at Best Buy. Of course I had to go into stealth mode while walking around the store, out of fear of being mauled by a rowdy pack of teenagers and frat boys.
UTexas vs. Arkansas I knock the helmet off the razorbacks head...awesome sequence in replay. I'm really impressed with the detailed gameplay.
They are rated about the same as last year. Rex Hadnot the lineman is rated a 92 I believe, and the QB's Nick Eddy and Barrick Nealy are both rated a 77. The defense seems to be a little improved, plus the new U.H. uniforms are in the game.
Now that I'm using a memory card, and saving stuff, it's not there.... Who knows, but I'm glad it's gone, at least for the moment. I've been able to pass three of the classic challenges. It's such a fun thing, with all of the history behind those games. I still have yet to start a dynasty- i've mostly been messing with roster names.
Can anyone find out for me if the Texas Tech fight song made it into the game? I get extremely tired of some generic fight song every year.
I got mine today. I found it at Gamestop in The Commons near the Willowbrook Mall for all of y'all that live in the Champions area. The game is very sweet. I like the added Sports Illustrated touch and the tackling and other parts of the game play are much improved. I am so happy to find the game and only paid 54.11 for it.
I was going to start a dynasty with Oklahoma St. but I said screw it after playing Nebraska in Week 1. Having the Huskers in Week 1 every year plus losing Josh Fields for 6 weeks during the game (QB sneak) made me quit.
So guys. How are the conference alignments? Are Miami and VT still in the Big East or already in the ACC? Do they finally have the REAL Texas fight song? Do they have Aggie yell leaders or generic cheerleaders? I didn't have time to hunt for it tonight and tomorrow I'm going to DMB so I can't get it until Thursday. I will not rest if I don't have it by the weekend!
Well I have played a few games. I tried online play fo rmy first game and was whipping some guy when he disconnected. I used A&M and he took Ohio State. I got the ball and screwed up my 1st 2 downs. On 3rd down I called a PA with Terrence Murphy running a corner. He ended up scoring on a 68 yard play. I make the PAT kick off and stop him for 3 downs. He goes for it on 4th and 7 from his own 30 and I stick him. So that is when he decides to quit. What a lamer. Anyways. the game is nice. I played UH vs. Rice and won with Rice 14-7 on 2 min. Qtrs.
Well I played my first game tonight. Played A&M (me) vs. UT (friend) on 5 minute quarters. He wins 49-42 in overtime with both quarterbacks throwing for over 400 yards. I fumble on 1st down in overtime, he recovers, game over. The presentation is nice, graphics looks a little bit better, commentary has a lot of stuff similar to last year. Defense is hard as hel...er, heck. I guess it'll take some getting used to. Time to start my dynasty.
