No disagreements here, but I have to admit, it's like trying find flaws in the Connelly leather hides of a Rolls Royce. This game was the bomb. I just hope they don't screw it up by changing everything, usually for the worse.
Rice actually became a dominant power on my Alabama franchise, along with Buffalo (I didn't even know they played college football up there!) and Marshall. Boise Statewas always up there as well. Weird, isn't it?
I was planning on taking Sam Houston to the title game! How can they stiff the Southland, it's one of the best AA football conferences in the country! If anyone finds it at a store today, please post it. I'm going to go brave the hurricane and hunt for it at lunch today.
I should have mine today. I talked to my Software etc. guy yesterday and he said they were expecting them Wednesday but he did not know that the ship date changed late last week. So hopefully I'll be getting a call shortly to go pick mine up. I actually broke down and pre-ordered mine yesterday . But only because when I called he told me they were not sure how many extras they were going to get but they would get enough to cover the pre-orders so I went ahead and reserved one. I have heard some good things about this years update and I am really looking forward to online play. Anyone else planning on playing online?
I would like to point out that Major's Cal never did beat RM95's Baylor for the National Championship.
normally i would buy both NCAA and Madden but because i've got no money i'm going to get one, i hope. I'm going with Madden. NCAA has some upgrades but seems to be much of the same. Madden, i can't wait to play the owner/franchise mode. I've got a question about NCAA though.... over the internet did people edit the rosters then allow people to download them. Last year i did all the ones with a rating over an 80 myself and that was the biggest pain in the ass.
4 places? Damn. I gave up after one. I read some stores released it last night. Supposedly it hasn't arrived at my local Gamestop. Should be in today everywhere.
Actually, all 4 places were within a 1/2 mile radius . Curciut City, Walmart, Toys R Us, and Best Buy. I'll do the same thing today if I have to, by God!!
Try Gamestop, EB, or KB Toys instead of Circuit City, Wal Mart, and Best Buy. I doubt they will have it until Thursday.
i normally will go to Gamestop and reserve the game a week before it comes out. I will pay the whole 50 bucks. The minute gamestop gets it in they give you a call. Then you don't have to worry about going to 4 or 5 different places to find it.
I've had no problems walking into any store on the release date and finding NCAA for the last 3 years. I usually buy games at ebworld.com, but I don't want to pay for shipping. By the time it gets here, it'll be out in stores anyway. Gamestop and KB are too far for my lunch break. EDIT: I called Circiut City and they said they're getting it on Friday. They said they should have plenty of extras for people who didn't reserve one. Also it's 10 bucks off if you buy a memory chip with it. Sweet!
Same for me, I never reserve games. In fact, I just came from EB Games in the Galleria with this baby. Just walked in & bought it, no problem.
The guy at ps2rosters.com does all the schools and has tehm available. You can get them 2 ways, using a sharkport or you can mail him a mem card. I have a sharkport so that is the method I use, but I have heard several people say they have had no trouble sending him their cards and getting them back, as long as you follow his rules abotu sending them to him. The rosters he makes are updated and he updates depth charts as well. Anyways, SE just called ao I am going to pick mine up now.
For those of you that live in the Austin area- I went down to Gamestop in the Arboretum around noon and got the game. I was going to get it for my Gamecube (insert "He owns a GAMECUBE???" joke here.....) but they had no extra copies for that platform as rarely anyone reserved a copy on it. Anyway, i just decided to splurge and buy a PS2, as most people brag about that system anyway, AND it does have the online capabilities if I choose to go that route. Regardless, i have yet to play it, but I will in a minute. The game itself was 49.99, and if they have any more copies left, it won't be many. They only had 2 extra left when i bought mine! Just wanted to let you know that it's out in the Austin area....I live up in Round Rock, and figured there was no chance of the game being up here. Try calling around first..... Peace....time to play some football!
Around noon I still had not received a call from Gamestop in Sugar Land so I gave them a call and it was in stock So I picked it up. I haven't played a full game. The classic teams are awesome.
Just got the game. Very impressive. Overall everything is sharp. Dynasty mode is just awesome. Only thing I see is that the same commentary is used from last year...
I just got mine from EB at west oaks mall, the guy said they had a out 15 left for PS2. just incase somebody here is out there looking
Very awesome so far, but i have a question. Has anyone out there with PS2 played one of the classic games? When I do, one of the teams is ALWAYS wearing the arizona wildcats jerseys! Even if the rosters are correct, the uni is always of arizona for one team. I wonder if anyone else has had the same situation. Hmmmm. When i win the classic situation, and unlock the teams, i can pick one of the teams and they'll have the correct logo and uni, it's just when i'm doing the classic challenge. Kinda irks me, but it's not a huge deal. I'm more concerned with the dynasty mode and so forth. Nice to see the correct Texas fight song, and the fans doing the "Texas- FIGHT" chant as the game starts
