Anyone have an iPad or a Chinese clone iPed/aPad?

Stay far away from the iPed or any fake iPad. I would recommend the iPad if you don't care much about Flash. But you can port Frash to run on the iPad if you have it jailbroken. But don't get your hope up just yet because there is no way they will get Flash working the same way as your desktop or the real Flash suppose to. I hardly uses my iPad because most of the sites I go to uses Flash. What's great about is is the battery life.

I would recommend you should wait a bit longer because there will be plenty of tablets that will be coming out. Hp slate might be coming out soon. But if money is no object and you don't care much for Flash, go for the iPad.

 

Meego for Tablets. Pretty cool OS system if this is coming out. This is what a tablets OS should be like. No wonder they kill the HP Tablets that was suppose to run the full Windows 7. But still hearing that a Windows 7 HP tablet still coming out. But I wonder if that will be running base on a Windows Phone 7 OS.

This Meego look pretty impressive. I just hope it doesn't disappeared like that Nvidia Tegra 2.

I kept thinking iPez...like the iPad is also now a Pez dispenser. :grin:

 

Q4 2010. Take it with a grain of salt. I wouldn't rush to buy a tablet at this moment if I were you and if only if you don't really need it or use it alot. I'm pretty sure tablets will be picking up steam by the end of the yr and next year so best is to hold on.

Don't get caught up in the tablet hype. After you play around with one and if you are hardcore computer user you will end up going back to your desktop. The tablet is pretty limited and it's only good for basic usage such as when I go downstairs to eat and watches tv I can carry it with me to check out what's happening on the net. Most of the time I'm on my desktop with my 24" screen and unlimited resources on my desktop that I can't live without.

 

Was thinking about buying an IPad. Not considering anymore thanks to this thread. Thanks for saving me the cash, Clutchfans.

I have one. I have since the launch of the 3G version. I use it to take notes during meetings and conference calls. Moreover, I purchased it to use when traveling which is when I believe it really shines.

However, its not really set up for business applications like a laptop (which I don't own). I bought it for the ability to surf, read, watch videos, listen to music, play games without having to pack multiple items. Thus the belief that its a great companion for travelers.

At home, I primarily use it as a reader.

I messed around and bought an Ipad 32GB 3G this week. I think I only did it out of depression because I had to put my dog to sleep a few weeks ago but the thing is pretty nice and I expect to get my money's worth out of it. Apple are some cheap ****ers though. I pay a grip for this thing and it comes with nothing except for the charger. A cheap case/skin and maybe some earphones would have been nice.
