Cool man, I'm going to Coachella again this year as well. The Killers unfortunately are one of the negatives on the lineup for me though. I don't think they're Saturday headliner worthy, and I'd be shocked if they're still the headliner by the time April gets here. For anyone that does go to The Killers show, make sure to get there for the opening act, M83. I actually like them a hell of a lot more than The Killers.
Set list: Spaceman Losing Touch For Reasons Unknown Somebody Told Me Smile Like You Mean It This Is Your Life Joyride I Can’t Stay Bling The World We Live In Neon Tiger Human Sam’s Town (acoustic) Read My Mind Mr. Brightside All These Things That I’ve Done Encore Dustland Fairytale Jenny Was a Friend of Mine When You Were Young Really Good Review Another decent review
I'm looking forward to the Disco Biscuits show. Friend of mine in Boston says their shows are a ton of fun. Chairlift is also coming to Warehouse live on March 23rd, I'm gonna check that show out.
I'm not going to the show, but I do like their new album. My favorite song on the album is Dustland fairytale. The Killers kind of remind me of Queen.
I love the Killers and Sam's Town is actually my favorite album from them. "Read My Mind" is pure awesome. I'm gonna go up to Austin to see them with a friend though. I found tickets + gas that were cheaper than the Houston show.
Yes, the killers do remind me of Queen. I think Brandon Flowers is very flamboyant, and over the top, the same way Freddie Mercury was. In that respect I think the bands are similar. I think Brandon Flowers would do a much better job filling in for Mercury than Paul Rogers does with Queen. Just my opinion.
Anyone think that this new Killers stuff sounds a lot like something U2 would come out with? Maybe that's just me. But I swore Human was the new U2 single (which is really weird).
i love The Killers! and i have tickets to the concert! but i'm not going b/c i'm in azerbaijan for work. my husband is going with his friend instead. real bummer for me. i hope it sux.
I -really- wanted to go, but not for The Killers--for M83. Of course, by the time I found out about the show, it was completely sold out. M83 is probably in my top three bands to see.
i love people bashing groups they've never even heard. harrisment and SWTsig, y'all will be at hob saturday night?
