Toyota corolla, camry and avalon. Lexus IS and GS. Driven my friends and family's Audis and Benzes and BMW's.
Tesla was the first brand new car I purchased for myself. All others were hand me downs or used cars from family members. But I am glad I made you lol
It is great you have this new found desire to drive american. Better yet, american not burdened by the UAW.

When can u reserve online? Safe to assume that we'll get the tax credit if we pre order online early?
the real question is how are you able to afford a Tesla if you are free to stand in line on a Thursday afternoon...
I kind of liked the design when it first came out, but it's kind of bland-looking from the front now for a somewhat pricey car. Still looks pretty good from the rear. I really don't care about the environment, so I'd probably buy another vehicle with that money.
Online reservation starts 8:30pm PT, right when they start live streaming the unveiling, which is when we will first actually see the car. Kind of crazy that all these people getting in line now and tomorrow will be preordering sight unseen. But then it is 100% refundable. It is definitely not safe to assume you will get the tax credit if you order online. Once Tesla delivers 200k cars in the US, the incentive starts to go away. - So far Tesla has delivered roughly 60k(mostly Model S) cars in the US. - They aim to deliver 80k-90k(Model S and X) globally in 2016, about 50% in the US. - 2017 should be around 120k globally, 50% in US. - That means by the time Model 3 deliveries start at the end of 2017, Tesla will have roughly US deliveries of 60k+43k+60K= 163k. In order to qualify for the tax credit, you need to have your car within 3 months of Tesla cross the 200k mark. By ordering online, even if you are the very first one, you are guaranteed to be behind these people: - Tesla employees who want to order get precedence (13k total) - Spacex employees who want to order get precedence (5k total) - Everyone who waits in line tomorrow at the store.(edit: this depends on region too, you may be ahead of people in Europe and Asia even if you order online, but will definitely be behind those in West coast and Central) So really whether you will get the credit or not if you order online depends on how many people will wait in line tomorrow, and if its enough people to significantly push you behind the 200k mark.
