Fair enough, he did seem a bit crazy on the podcast, but I don't know that he hasn't always been like that.
He is in control of billions of other people's dollars. Would you want your surgeon smoking drugs on the reg?
It's not something he does "on the reg", and he didn't even inhale really I think he just wanted to seem cool. Also, when it comes to those at the top, I'd rather they occasionally smoke a joint and relax during the middle of the night than for them to never really chill out and end up having a nervous breakdown. It was something like 11:30 at night their time.
relaxing by taking a vacation to french riviera is a bit different than his trips out to burning man. I'm not sure the increased heart rate and paranoia of cannabis really qualifies.
Been my turn to get a model 3 for a while now... still unsure if I want to follow through and get one.
Same boat, but Im waiting on the standard battery and want to see where my federal rebates lie. Im leaning heavily to canceling though.
that's a generalization and not the case with all cannabis. edit: i'm pretty sure rogan didn't mention the strain so it would be presumptive to say elon was paranoid or has a speedy heart...then again i watched it high so maybe my memory is faulty.
I tuned in to the show for a few minutes. They talked about how Musk is an alien and about AI. Either Musk was already high by then or this guy is not one for conversation.
”We’re really playing a crazy game here with the atmosphere and the oceans. We’re taking vast amounts of carbon from deep underground and putting this, putting this in the atmosphere, this is crazy. We should not do this. It’s very dangerous. We should accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. I mean the bizarre thing is that obviously we’re going to run out of oil in the long term. There’s only so much oil we can mine and burn. That’s totally logical, we must have a sustainable energy transport and energy infrastructure in the long term. So we know that’s the end point, we know that. So why run this crazy experiment where we take trillions of tons of carbon from underground and put it in the atmosphere and oceans. This is an insane experiment. It’s the dumbest experiment in human history. Why are we doing this, it’s crazy.”
I think like many, they only tuned in for the first little bit. It certainly seemed like he was a train wreck. The last 45 minutes was fantastic. At first, I was annoyed with Rogan for taking advantage of Musk. However Musk handled it very well. The media certainly took it to the extreme. Sure, Musk certainly seemed like he had a few before the show. And it appeared Rogan was taking advantage. Im under the impression Rogan tried to take advantage but Musk didnt fall for it. For starters, its pretty clear Musk didnt inhale. It really seemed like Musk was the one in control, not Rogan. It was really touching to see the human side of Musk at the end. We all imagine what it would be like to meet and interview historical geniuses like Einstein, Newton, ect ... and yet we have one in front of us now. Musk clearly sets himself apart from modern assholes like Gates, Jobs, Zuckerberg and Bezos.
Damn. Joe Rogan is going to feel like **** if this seriously hurts/disrupts Elon's career. Can't Joe just say he was confused / lying and it was just tobacco?
To me he clearly looked like he was on something from the beginning up til the 20 min mark where I’m at
