A fellow Malice Mizer fan? O_O I went to an anime con this past weekend (my first, I know I'm a HUGE dork) dressed as Gackt in his cyberland outfit. I also bought a copy of Merveilles. Such a wonderful CD.
No, I usually dress myself. But wouldn't actually getting dressed up by your significant other be SeXy? I'd love that. You gave me a great idea...
Before I give my opinion: This thread is taking a turn for the worst... it's going to end up in the Debate and Discussion section... Dude, aren't ALL GEISHAs females? Someone from Japan get in here and end it, please. oski, are you saying you wouldn't mind if I [born a MALE] would dress as a French Maid as long as it is during Halloween? Dude, carnival is in late January... that's an exception right there...
"Finally! An excuse to wear make-up!!!" I didn't mean to steer this thread to a D&D one; I was just curious as we don't have many female posters on board. I just think that Mori will probably be the ugliest geisha of all-time, but wanted to make sure that he was a he before making that statement. Actually, I used to work at a bank that employed 85% women and 5 years ago, they got me to dress up in drag. It was funny for about an hour and then the customers came in. That is when it got to be uncomfortable not to mention all the walking in high-heeled shoes. God, I was so glad when that day was over!!
Actually, I'm not a he. And the geisha part of the costume was mostly because of the makeup, but it could be considered more gothic than geisha. The costume started as a Baiken (From the video game Guilty Gear) inspired samurai girl, but evolved from that. I think it's kinda interesting people are freaking out about a guy dressing as a girl, but not a girl dressing as a guy (Gackt is a guy, you know, even if he is an androgynous/somewhat femmy one and I binded for the costume).
Oh, and before this delves into D&D land, lets get back to the costumes and not discussing if men crossdressing is horrible.
I once dressed in drag for the Art Car party a few years back on a drunken whim. I never had so many girls come up to me in my life.
I watched Labyrinth when I was little and I didn't know until recently that David Bowie's character was indeed a guy.
heh...I described mine in the What are you doing for Halloween thread... basically...its an Executioner outfit.. leather studded skull cap/mask that only comes down to above the mouth...has black fabric all around that drapes down onto the shoulders..and a black robe. since I have been unable to find a decent looking double headed axe...Ill go with my machete. and then when the older kids start coming around without costumes tryin to scam some candy...Im gonna jump out of the shadows and scare the beejesus out of em. god I love halloween.
So...um...R2k: You couldn't find a double headed axe... ...but you happened to have a leather studded skull cap/mask that only comes down to above the mouth...has black fabric all around that drapes down onto the shoulders..and a black robe handy ??
