Anyone find that Trailblazers are less hateable than our usual playoff foes?

I don't like LMA's game. I think it's based on a terrible shot and I don't think he's that good at making it. So I kinda hate them for getting so lucky the first two games. They've hit a LOT of lucky contested shots this series.

I'm biased like any Rockets fan, but LMA is EASILY the most talented, versatile PF in the league.

Forget Kevin Love, Blake, the rest of them.

It's not even just this series. The skillset that LMA has is one of a kind, from the post, to the jumper, to the ability to hit a 3.

The dude has no issues shooting over three guys.

Give him more time to develop and his ceiling will grow.

His shots aren't lucky. His stroke is pure and his bball IQ is, well, crazy high.

Also, I said it before the series, Wesley Matthews and Mo Williams are great players.

Mo can start on a dozen or so teams in the league and Wesley could be 20 ppg without an issue if he wasn't surrounded by so much talent.

I want our Rockets to win, but the Blazers are built well. The bench is questionable, but who am I to judge when we have a guy like DMo and Omri that are arguably d-level talent right now.

Jordan Hamilton will be a great role player, and if we do pull this series out, we'll need his shot.

I didn't know much about him before, but when I knew we were getting him in a trade before the deadline, I was told that I would be pleasantly surprised. And, largely, I have been, for his age and experience.

We dodged a bullet with a Denver injury, but Morey def wanted more than just JHam...we would have had some nice front court depth to guard LMA had things gone according to plan.

Screw them. They are crying for foul calls even though the refs are giving them every tick tacky call, and Rockets don't get them. Rockets should have a huge lead in free throw attempts, but aren't and are barely down. I say they should have a huge advantage because of the large points in the paint disparity.

Rockets last 2 games have outscored Portland 65 points in the paint, yet have less free throw attempts.

Lillard's showboating after hitting a big shot really pisses me off. Dude's always sticking his chest out, screaming, trying to look tough, just putting on a show. He looks and acts like a freaking punk.

Didn't hate them in 2009 and not hating them now. I guess they don't really have a unlikeable player like Terry or Harpring.

OP you should have named this thread, "Let's discover all the ways we hate the Trailblazers." Because the hate is there, we just can't quite articulate it yet.

Sometimes I wonder how I would have rooted for another team if I had grown up in another city. The answer, obviously, is that sports is like war. Eventually kind words and negotiations just break down, and you're not gonna achieve any common ground with a member of the other side. Only thing to do at point is skewer them.

    Let's go, Rockets.

It's because they don't come off as cocky. Lebron, Durant, Kobe, etc. all make cocky remarks that piss you off and make you hate them.

    Good question.

His shot would help during the double teams. Same goes for Garcia.

McHale doesn't know what type of rotation he wants. He can't decide whether to keep it small or ADJUST to the situation.

What he really doesn't understand is that Garcia would make Wesley Matthews' life a living hell.

He also doesn't recognize that allowing LMA to post up at will is devestating our chances. LMA is TERRIBLE when he is fronted by a smaller player with a bigger guy from the weak side.

McHale also doesn't recognize that Diwght is not the only man responsible for rebounding, and we have some tough tweeners that do a decnet job at going for the ball.

This series REALLY isn't that difficult. We're in a deep hole, but it's because we simply did not adjust to the ONE guy that killed us two games ina row.

It's disgusting, embarrassing and downright sad for Rockets fans. We deserve better.

Shout out to Troy for that big shot.

I hope Dwight, Harden, Chandler, Jeremy, Pat and Omer let Kevin know what's going on on the court. He obviously just doesn't notice it.

Also...Patrick Beverly is a great defender, but that doesn't mean you let him out to die when the fast man alive in Lilliard drives by.

McHale, again, hasn't recognized that Pat could lay off a bit so that Dwight and Omer could protect the paint.

We can win this series, but it REALLY, REALLY is going to come down to McHale understanding how to analyze what is happening on the court and forgetting the damn scouting report.

Never would I imagine LMA doing so much damage to us in two games without any double teams. What coach allows that to happen? Maybe in Philly or Milwaukee.

Personally, I think the pressure is on Portland.

James is coming back ready on Sunday.

Dwight wants to defend LMA (McHale is opposed)

We need our 5 guys on the court to take control and allow Kevin to sit back and learn.

I strongly suspect that their ball boys purposely do not mop up the wet spots on Rockets' end of floor. Lin slipped on one possession and a couple of possessions later, he slipped on the exact same spot.

Someone on the Rockets staff needs to know this before one of the Rockets is seriously injured.
