O'brien has stated that he will do whatever it takes to win. I believe his intent is to get the run game going with Foster early on in the season, rack up as many wins as possible, and steadily decline his caries as both Grimes and Blue get accustomed to live game action. You saw during the course of the game that Blue was having issues gaining much. Some was him, some on the O-line. As it went on he looked more comfortable out there, and towards the end starting gashing them. I didn't like that they pulled him so soon for Grimes and Brown once it was completely put away though. Will ride Foster to wins, but I do believe as the season goes on his caries will drop to an average of 20 or so.
Foster is a "longshot" to play today according to NFL network this morning. I would rather rest him and let him get to 100% than reaggrivating it today and missing a long chunk of games...
This was/is my worst fear, that Foster can't stay on the field. For the Texans to have a chance at respectability, they must have an effective running game, especially with Fitz at QB. Talk about bad timing. This is the mother of bad timing.
... and not be healthy for a month, maybe the rest of the year. Foster has been a disappointment ever since his big contract... on and off the field.
Google: The shortest careers among NFL players tends to be those who hit and get hit the most during games and practice. Running backs have the shortest average careers of just 2.57 years.
This is what I've been talking about all offseason. AJ, Arian, Cushing going down. 1 down and as a plus clowney is out and the dude didn't even take a hit
Can the Texans win without Arian? Blue looked good today but I'm sure Foster would have scored at the goal line.
Nope...!!!! I think he had some unnecessary carriers in the Oakland game. He didn't need that many carriers for the Texans to win that game.
