Eh, I don't care too much anymore. Rick plays Brooks way too long and way too much down crucial stretches when any bonehead can see he's hurting the team. Rick is a "players coach" and cares more about pleasing his favorite players than doing whatever it takes to win. I used to get pissed, but now I'm just used to it and the losing that comes along with it.

    Why stop at AB?

I'm irritated with this entire team, from the towel boy the Leslie Alexander

I think coming off the bench may be throwing off his rhythm. Some players have a tough time adjusting to different roles (bench vs. starting) and Brooks seems to be that player.

This was something that i recall Landry and Scola talking about in their first/2nd years - Landry felt more comfortable coming off the bench and Scola felt more comfortable starting.

While starting, he was averaging 16ppg/5apg - not spectacular numbers, but was shooting 43% from the field and 40% from 3s and are far better numbers than what he's putting up right now.

If the Front Office is not gonna trade him, I would try to move him back into the starting lineup (even though Lowry's been tearing it up). At this point.. we really dont have anything to lose. We're already dead last in the division. If anything, if he continues to play like crap, more ping pong balls, right?

I remember one member on this board who was disenchanted with Rafer Alston calling him "AirBallston". I wonder if anyone who is disenchanted with Aaron Brooks ever thought of calling him "AirBrookston" when you consider his poor shooting so far this season? Interesting.

When Aaron is not scoring, then he is of no value to a team since his one-on-one defense isn't good. Rafer Alston, OTOH, was at least helpful on the defensive end.

No way in hell will I ever ask for Alston back, I don't care if we were playing Brad Miller at PG you don't want Rafer in a Rockets uniform. There is a reason he got tossed around the league after he left here and I'm pretty sure it has to do with him being a cancer.

It would be a bless in disguise if AB's poor play this season hurt his value on the FA market and the Rockets would be able to resign him for cheap.

AB is too undersized compared to the other top point guards. Even before he won the MIP, he said he will learn to pass more and to this date, he shoots more and misses even more. Right now, AB is hard to be traded because he has regress and has shown to be selfish. Pretty much the Rockets will be lucky to get something significant unless we part some of our best asset with AB in KMart, C.Lee, L.Scola, P.Patterson, Battier and draft picks. Historically, the Rockets haven't had a PG that averages over 8Ast/Game, or even 7AST/Game, Francis was close, but I don't remember any Rockets ever. I hope to see one day we get a player like Rose, Westbrook, Rondo, Nash, D.Williams..... maybe we can get J.Calderon, most underrated/underhyped PG for AB and draft picks, king of wishful thinking.

I really doubt Brooks will be with the Rockets Next season, whether its via a trade or departure in free agency..

I gave up on this current team/lineup when we lost to the Twolves sans Beasley on our home floor.

RA played AB cause we are going to trade him. That's what we always do, give players that will be traded a lot of playing time, their stats will go up and hence their value will be increased. Though it didn't work today.

I bet Morey's ear still hurts from all the calls he received after Brooks' craptastic display last night. I wonder who's 2nd round draft pick he will choose lmao!

I have never looked forward to any other deadline as much as the upcoming one. Honestly, it's crazy. This may sound typically harsh but I hope this roster gets a complete face lift. On paper and on the court it's lack laster. What a dismal brand of ball our Rockets are playing. Both inconsistent and ungraceful.

See the difference one star player can make on a squad. View the Cavs season just a year back. Being the first to win 40 now the first to lose 40.
Yes people, just having Lebron to take that last shot, to ride the 4th and to take over at will was enough to grant the Cavaliers the best record in the eastern conference and labeled 'contenders'.
Now without the king, they become a THE worst team in the NBA today.

That one star makes the difference...
    Mr. Morey, fulfil the void.
2 weeks until I can breathe

    BTW..
(on my association on NBA 2K11 I am up to the 16th of feb in my first season and I am currently waiting on the deadline to continue my season. So for now, I can not play my association as my fingers are crossed that significant changes are made )

Who cares if it's just a video game. I can barely play consistent with my favourite team. Majority of the games we lose in real life i'm losing on 2K as well and for all the same reasons. Getting out rebounded and the in ability to close out tight 4th quarter battles. Only 2K freaks will be able to relate to me on that one..

Everybody who's NOT pissed at AB should face reality. The guy is shooting 35% from the field and 29% from the 3point line this season. Since his return in December, he only had 4 out 25 games where he shot at least 50%. Just 4 out of 25!
AB is primarily a scorer. However, if he doesn't score he's ABSOLUTELY USELESS. He doesn't do anything else well besides scoring, and if he can't deliver, he must go. I have always been a fan of his last year, but this year he playes like crap. I don't want to see him in a Rockets uniform any longer. I'd rather see what Ish Smith can do than seeing AB jack up three after three and not making shots. His time here is over. He needs to go.

Chuck Hayes is a decent player off the bench if he plays for only a few minutes down stretches. That's all I'm saying, I don't wanna get booted off game chats by moderator Hayesfan

a "0" plus/minus hardly hides the fact that his defense on picks is atrocious, he doesn't hustle anymore and he can't make a shot.
