Anyone else stoked for the draft lottery?

I am sure more fans will be stoked for the draft lottery after this brutal 6 game stretch out of the break... I have my calendar marked...

 

This is a weak draft and this org. Is not great at developing the youngsters.

 

If you are tired of watching kids you should follow another team. This is like you telling a 6 yr old you are tired of him being a kid for the past 6 yrs. The Rockets rebuilt from ground zero 3 yrs is already among the fastest rebuilds in NBA history. Even the original Process took 4 yrs before it got stopped.

Personally I think Rox are in a good spot and well positioned no matter what happens. If they make the play in which is highly unlikely that would obv be great, but if not then all the losing just increases the odds for a top 4 pick. It's a win win.

 

Pretty sure Amen and Cam have developed extremely well in just under a year.

Toronto exposing BKN badly. Perfect result. We are looking for TOR and MEM to go on a streak and pass BKN (gulp - and maybe even us??)

 

I mean it is an okay draft if you want Jabari level of players.

 

Gonna have to land one of those top 4 picks to get a shot at Reed Sheppard, I think he's the first guard taken.

I was hoping that he'd be this year's Tari Eason but there's literally no chance of that with Sheppard's recent play.

Hell, half of ClutchFans is already on the bandwagon.

 

The good thing about a weak draft is that teams are more likely to try a crazy pick because there's no real consensus on who should be at the top anyway. This means that you could end up with a gem falling through to the mid first like how Haliburton fell to 13 in that weak draft. Almost everyone will be a project though so anyone we draft will probably start the season on the bench but Cam is proof that Ime is willing to bet on youngsters that prove themselves.

 

Can the rebuild be considered on track if we are in the same situation we were last year?

 

I can’t wait! Maybe Stone will land someone comparable to Jalen Green’s talent level.

 

Nope not this 2024 weak draft. Not interested in adding some hopeful role player

Rockets already have the best pick when Cam would have easily went #1 this summer

now if we’re talking 2025 there’s some real actual talent in that one

 

I hope we trade down to the 15-20 range
That seems to be our sweet spot

 

I'll be happy if we don't pick any G League Ignite players again! I'm hoping we pick Reed Sheppard. This team desperately needs more 3 PT shooters in our rebuilding phase.

 

that is extremely realistic. That would ignite a sick excitement in me heading into the offseason. It’s pathetic that’s all we have to look forward to, but we are unfortunately stuck in the Stone era.

Im more looking forward to package projects and picks for a player that actually makes a difference.
