I've said it before, JVG should have his own radio show...or at least a podcast. I mean it could be about totally random stuff too, not basketball related. Like Kevin Smith's smodcast, just random chit chat.

I'll put my hand up and say I officially have a crush!

Its not just his sense of humour (You have to love the fact he got sacked and yet he has so much fun with it!), or that he doesn't hold a grudge (Dont you get the feeling he LOVES the Rockets despite being sacked?), but ever game you heard him commentate on, you feel like your learning something about the game, the players, off court stuff......its really interesting.

It shows I think the difference between an average commentator, and a great commentator. VG is a real feature of the entire presentation.

JVG is the most informative analyst I've ever listened to. He is very entertaining as well.

The "verbal flop" comment last night was great.

Another thing I like about him is he is not afraid to voice his opinion even when it may be unpopular. For example, he mentioned last night that he thinks Artest is a better offensive player than he is a defensive player....Many casual fans of the game would disagree with that comment, but its true. His impact on offense is far greater than his impact on defense.

He also pointed out how badly the rockets missed Yao Ming's ability to protect the basket last night, which i feel is underrated....I havent seen that many layups and easy catches and finishes against the rockets in a while.

His depth of knowledge of certain players and their strengths and weaknesses is really impressive.

I loved JVG as a coach. With him at the helm we did what we were supposed to and overachieved at times. He got the most he could with the roster we had.

With him we always gave a challenge to the elite teams in the league, blew out the weak teams in the league and we rarely had games were we played below our potential.

JVG with this team would have gone very deep into the playoffs. Too bad he had players like Juan Howard and the like playing for him.

Definitely a man-crush. I don't mind ugly offense as long as it wins games. I definitely miss when we use to blow teams out. Not a single game this season have we been comfortably ahead. Not one.
