I wouldn't know what that is. I haven't WORKED in 2 and a half weeks. Don't get me wrong, I've shown up for work, I've even gotten paid, but I've not actually accomplished anything. And I won't until they give me my promotion (or at least a raise).
Yeah - I don't hate my job. I'm just sick of working. Damn, that sounds just like my job (except for the noise).
Whoa, that sounds so horrible. I'm still in high school, but I'm already thinking of going into business, specifically the renewable energy business. I really think you should find a job in the NBA making promotional videos. You may rise to commissioner
work really is awful, ive only been out of college for about 6 months and already i dont understand how people do bull**** jobs their whole lives, it is freaking depressing
I've been out of college for about 6 months and still don't have a job. I wish I had one right now that I could hate.
lol well i took a job at 10/hr because i coudln't find one either, but tomorrow is my last day bc it is so ridiculously underpaid i cant handle it, i take it by ur name u went to ut, i just graduted from ut in may also
I really, really, really want to get an PR internship next summer with a company I can grow with (i.e. - get a job with later on). This is my junior year and all I keep hearing about is how internships open up huge advantages in the job search after you graduate.
i was a PR major, had two internships, and couldnt find **** for jobs after i graduated, good luck tho, im jsut warning u, they made it seem like i had to get one and all this, but it wasnt too successful for me
Wow, thanks for the warning. Considering you're a UT grad, that's a real eye-opener. Do you live in Austin or Houston?
Yeah I graduated from the Comm School at UT with my B.S. in Advertising and from Liberal Arts with my B.A. in Government along with the Business Foundations certificate. I'd take an paid internship now, money isn't that huge of an issue as long as i can gain some work experience you know then latch on to a job. I just waited a super long time to finally move to Houston so now that I'm settled in I'm sure I'll find work soon.
What exactly do you plan to do with those degrees? Do you have specific job in mind? Also for those of you who think it matter which school you go to, it doesn't. I graded from University of Houston with the same degree (computer science) as friends from UT and Texas A&M and I make double what any of them are making right now.
I want to work in the account services department of an advertising agency but just getting into the industry is tough. Or doing any kind of sports related work would be up my alley, but nothing really specifically. I've been on a number of interviews but just haven't had any job offers yet. I got my Government degree kind of haphazardly, I've always been interested in Government so I took the lower-division requirements and a few other classes, noticed that I wasn't too many credits away from earning a degree in Government so I just followed through and did it. Makes for a really weird combination of degrees I know and have been told so.
