amen. It goes to show you even though the american players are the more talented if you never learn how to play a less skilled team that knows how to play and shoot can beat you. Look at the average NBA scores over the last ten years and how they dropped from over 100 to like 90. Bring in all the foreigner's to the NBA and make a bunch of these high school show offs take there game to Rucker Park. Wake up call American players, it's time to learn how to play if you want to be considered the best again. Until then the NBA Championship is going to be looked at like a joke to the rest of the world.

Might I second the opinion about PhiSlammaJamma's post! Not to mention that it is WRONG because it says that the Us 'always win'

    Hmmm

Hard to move laterally with all of those big heads on the court.

    Thank you. Great Post.
The latest pet peeve of mine is when people try to relate anything to 9/11 which was a terrible experience and a TRUE wake-up call.
    This is basketball, just basketball.

Read my response in the Yugo vs US thread. I was not trying to compare the events of 9/11 to playing basketball. As you will read, and many others agree with, it's a pride factor.

BTW, I did not appreciate that dialogue. I lost family in 9/11; I can't stand it when people joke about Bin Laden and terrorism.

I'm sorry that you lost family in that tragedy. It will never be forgotten. My point of the dialogue was that I just don't see how the lost pride through the WBC hurts any more or any less around 9/11. Again, sorry about your loss.

Thanks, your sympathy is both noted and appreciated.

Maybe I was being a bit ambiguous, but you miss my point. The country was brimming with patriotism and national pride after the horrendous incident. The fact that these guys don't have enough of it to treat representing your country as an honor is disturbing. Instead, they treat it as a hassle.

Very happy. Teaches the NBA a lesson to put in some decent players instead of these losers.

The NBA doesn't actually select the players. USA Basketball does, and they did try to get our elite players...they all declined. It got so bad, they actually tried to coax MJ into playing. Blame the elite themselves for the lack of top notch talent on this team.
