I don't hunt deer anymore. Semi-auto and assault rifle are not the same thing. The Brady group made that connection. If you asked the Marines this is an assault weapon. Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon
The friend I mentioned has a walk-in safe, with dozens of guns of all kinds. Boxes and boxes of ammunition. He spouts the same old, tired paranoia. We've gotten to where we never talk politics, because his consist of one issue, driven by paranoia... his guns. One thing I'll say about him, because we've been hunting together... he would have blown that robber away. He practices all the time. Honestly, I have no problem with his hobby, although I think he spends way too much money on it. I have a problem with his paranoid politics, driven by his NRA meetings, the flyers he gets, that crowd of fellow paranoid gun owners he hangs with too often. It's a pity. Keep D&D Civil.
Crime Bill 1994. Limited ALL magazines to 10 rounds maximum and banned the AR-15 and several other guns. Put restrictions on certain features on all semi-auto rifles. If you already owned the gun you could still keep it. Same with magazines. As far as agenda the Brady Group is already claiming victory. Quote: "The shift in control of the U.S. House of Representatives, coupled with a U.S. Senate that will either see a control shift or be exceptionally close, will make it hard for the gun lobby to weaken gun laws and creates opportunities for passage of common sense gun proposals, according to Brady officials. "
It was all paranoia till they passed the AWB. I hope you don't hunt with a centerfire rifle round cause Ted wants to ban those cause they can go through vests designed to stop handgun rounds.
Who knows? Not congress thats for sure. I think handgun makers know more about round counts then any of us and thats what they designed the gun to hold.
Yeah and then a squad of ninjas attacked your family and you only killed 4 cause you only had a shotgun. ...... a dark day. This is all moot of course because only a r****d who didn't understand checks and balances would think this is a near term possibility.
It never ceases to amaze me how paranoid some people are about their guns and their rights to "defend" themselves. You're far more likely to shoot a family member than a home intruder but by all means make a big stink about the extra 5 bullets you need for your magazine.
More likely a crackhead with a old kitchen knife. I did say in my first post that it will at least make the prices go up right?
More likely walking down the street, or at work. I guess you call 911? Yeah robberies ending in murder never happen in Houston.
Paranoid idiots increasing demand? ? That's what I think we're supposed to say according to the original poster.
Where did you get those stats exactly. The only one I have ever seen included friends of the family which includes a group that is most likely to make a violent attack on a home. It also included only shootings involving kills which involves suicides. Suicides are much more likely to be a kill and include a family member. And if you think guns cause suicides then
To bad they didn;t ban any machine guns in the last ban then huh? Oh wait MG's have been under the same ban since 1934. Seems kinda moot to talk about them ah?
It seems moot to talk about things that will never happen, like you having to fight off angry crackhead ninjas with assault rifles.
