That´s why i wanted Wafer back, he could blossom this season and be traded at the deadline, but we have not inked him and have no signals about him.
I guess I feel like the burden of expectations has been lifted and I am cautiously optimistic about the future. I like our coach and GM and anticipate an entertaining brand of basketball for the upcoming season, if little else.
i'm looking forward to seeing the Rox once again achieve well beyond expectations. makes rooting for them even more fun when everyone seems to be talkin smack
Im looking forward to seeing what Brooks and Ariza can do. I hope Budinger buds into a real threat and they use him alot. Even with no experience might as well give him all of his experience in this year to be ready for next year. Give him and Dorsey all the minutes they can handle to prepare them for a real run the year afterwards is what I want. No matter if their inexperience leads to losses it will still always be fun to watch Rockets games as compared to not having any like when we didnt have the Oilers. I would rather watch those guys lose than lose them.
i'm still hoping that the young team under RA can develop into a contender throughout the season. if we keep TMac, it's going to be confusing. on one hand, i'd like the young team to break the first round of playoffs if we develop that well. but on the other, i wouldn't want TMac to give the Rockets fans the false hope that he is good enough for a championship by breaking through the first round of playoffs without Yao or any other *big* players. it's like Luther Head and his abysmal performance in the playoffs after a really successful season -- I JUST DONT SEE TMAC WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THE ROCKETS. TMac, if you're reading this, you can shut me up by winning the championship on the return from the injury. if you do it, you'll be legendary. but it's easy to doubt you now.
With our current roster, I think AB has the best shot. If he has a year similar to how Devin Harris got his first appearance, AB will make it to Dallas.
