It is because it didnt surprise me. Like someone said, once Lillard got all that space, i knew it was in. But as Rockets fans we shouldn't be in an uproar. This team is far from a finished product.
Parsons lays it up with 0.9 to play to go up by 2 and i say "crap..we just lost" odd for a sports fan...for a Houston sports fan its just another day. Ill never abandon my htown teams but the most entertaining part of being a Houston sports fan is witnessing the amazing ways they lose. There was 100% no doubt - 100% certainty they lost before it was over. I herd "inbound to lillard" and said "swish" as he crushed every houstonians hopes. Bravo.
I'm good. I've been saying we weren't going to win the series since game two was over. They got my hopes up a little, but I was so delusional to think they were going to win this series. I think had we won we'd have lost game 7 at home. Portland was the better team. Their players played better and their coach coaches better. Hopefully the front office takes a hard look at the team and makes the needed adjustments. Trade Lin and Asik, pick up a third star or very high caliber player and bring in a real coach. But I'm not shocked we lost this series. Been saying since last season this team wasn't going to get to where they wanted with mchale as head coach. He's just not good enough. Time for a change.
Didn't feel comfortable with 0.9 seconds left. Knew that was going in. Flash back of John Stockton now Damian Lillard will haunt me. Time for a drink.
i'm alright now, but I cried when he hit that shot. This is what I get for getting too much into the game in the end. should've just watched with my brain shut off
You know what, I'm not gonna lose much sleep. I've been used to so many years of Houston sports heartbreak, I'm just like, MEH.
I called it right before the play began...I said "Lillard for 3 and the win" and there you have it. I'm not trying to boast about my fortune telling, it was just easy to predict that lillard would get the ball and make a miracle shot because that's what has happened all series.
Yes. Times like these make me think I should take up competitive yo-yo or something. I'm too worked up over this ****.
Agreed, the loss is clearly on us. Portland played better and deserved to go to the next round, and the main reason behind that was better coaching. Howard is a beast, best thing that happened to the rockets this year. Too bad that wasn't enough to make up for our bad coaching. Honestly, even if we were lucky to somehow progress to the second round, we would not go far with Kevin Mchale. I'd rather exit in the first round this year with Mchale gone, then exit in the second round and watch him come back and consistently get out-coached again next year.
Just remember the nba is going to kick portland out next round. The spurs will eat them. Portland fans tears will taste good. Lillard you will get worked by parked and aldridge by duncan.
Haha yeah. When Lin dribbled away game 4 I screamed like I never screamed before. But after Lillard hit that shot I just smiled
