I didn't expect us to win this game, but when we went up by 16 in the 2nd half, I started to believe. But as soon as the mavepricks got it down to single digits, I knew it was over. I just started fast forwarding (I DVR'ed the game) and just watched the score in the bottom right hand corner for the last 5 minutes or so. I was upset last night. And again this morning. [TMI]I couldn't even 'get going' with my wife this morning, if you catch my drift....[/TMI] You have to admit, last night was basically a playoff game, not just a regular season game. I don't know if going from the #2 seed to the #5 seed in the span of about 4 minutes has ever been done before.

Yeah I know. I was disappointed with last night but definitely not depressed. Especially since we have a good chance of beating Portland.
not really depressed, more upset with the situation. I mean I'm with the rockets thru thick and thin but they held their own fate with a win last nite. Division title or not it means something. I just hope they can rebound from this and play rockets ball. I know they can beat portland if they play to their potential. We can't have everybody missing shots and expect to beat other teams. We just need everyone to step up their game because from here on out it's 16 wins to capture a championship. That is the goal and not just get past the second round it's to beat whoever come in their way. So I'm still upset but hey we can't all be down on this because they have a game saturday and it starts from there. so let's keep our heads up and wait till saturday to see how they respond. rox in 6 games...
It's just a game people, just a freaking game. We're all pissed and sad but to be depressed? We're all passionate, but cmon. I know this is a fan message board, and I'll probably get flamed, but I don't care. I love my rockets, but at the end of the day, I'm not going to get all worked up over something that's out of my control, and that's with anything in life. I was depressed when I lost family members. I was depressed when I lost jobs and went on countless interviews. Depressed when my favorite team loses a non-playoff game, hell any game for that matter? A little saddened and upset, but I swear this board goes overboard sometimes. I understand the passion people have for their sports teams, but I really think we go too far sometimes, considering there are far worse things in life than watching our team lose. Get some perspective.
I’m over it … well not really because as I typed this I got angry again. If it had to happen the way it did with problems of ball movement then maybe it was for the best it happened so they can have video footage of it. Maybe it will finally serve as a wakeup call to those players that decided to go away from what was working. They were riding high and on a 5 game winning streak ... then in that third quarter they got complacent and let their guard down. In a regular season game, they got away with it but in the playoffs you can't waste momentum and possessions like that. It was also a good test of the playoffs for Lowry, AB and Wafer.
My thoughts exactly. But I have to realize that maybe people exaggerate when they use the term depressed. I hope someone isn't really depressed over a sports game.
I was having a bad day at home and at work and then as I was leaving for lunch a young girl jumped off the 8th floor of the parking garage and killed herself. Made me realize no matter how mad I am at the Rockets, or how messed up my life may be, or how mad my wife made me this morning... it's not that bad.
BELIEVE me, I know ALL ABOUT perspective.. I, too, think the OP mis-used the word 'depressed'. I really don't think anyone here is like clinically depressed or anything. Just a little down. That's totally normal after a game like last nights.
It was the worst loss of the season. I was semi-depressed after the loss last night. But I'm holding my head high, I think we have a good shot at getting to the 2nd round. Just BELIEVE in your team, that's why you are a fan.
