good advice Big MAK. and remember. DRINK A LOT OF WATER. he's right about potential kidney/liver issues. I take a gallon jug to the gym everyday and I make it a habit to at least try to finish it before I get home.
What's the rush? Unless you're a high performance athlete or a muscle show pony, there is no pressing for supplements. Eat healthy, drink plenty of water and exercise moderately. The muscle will come eventually. It usually takes 2-3 months to see noticeable change in your body shape. And if you plateau in your muscle growth, vary your workout. As far as I'm concerned, supplements are for the impatient.
i've done creatine which is good for recovery and allows you to do more reps per set. it also cause water retention in muscles for size, but the real benefit is the ability to do more reps.
Thank you, sir. I made it a habbit, to which I still do, to drink a gallon of water a day. Also, don't drink expired protein. I met a guy once who had a juge of expired whey protein and it caused either liver or kidney failure, I cant remember.
I consumed a whole container of expired whey protein that was 2 years past the best before date and I'm just fine... JUST FINE I SAY JuSSttFFFIiiNEE ASFIASDHIOPGTPOIWQTP3204y9qthag9psaw7ytr8p9 n7837w erc sadfuagfdy; AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I snort ground up ACAI BERRY. It works for me. I just recently started lifting on my BowFlex Power Pro again. Funny thing is I was looking at my Soy Protein powder jug and it expired in March 2010. But, it's never been opened. Surely, it's still good? This thread almost seems to be making a point that lifting weights is useless without added supplementation. "I just felt like lifting." I take the Forrest Gump approach.
I got some good results taking MRI Black Powder (pre workout supplement) and Scivation Xtend (BCAA) during workout.
Jack3d or white flood are both damn good choices for pre-workout. As for creatine, I'd have to suggest Kre-Alkalyn 1500. PS. If you're using Cell-Tech..those 6 lbs. you gained most likely isn't muscle...it's just water weight. And as soon as you stop taking Muscle-Tech's crap product, you're gonna lose it in about a week.
I like Superpump 250. The taste is good and its cheaper to buy than Jack3d which has an ingredient (1.3 dymethyl) in it that can give some people limp d-ick.
why does everyone talk down on cell tech? i never used it but it has a bad reputation on bodybuilding.com. Not saying it doesn't work but when someone says they gained a certain amount of muscle weight and they mentioned they use cell tech they all scuffle at that over there. Maybe all it is is water weight?
It ain't all water weight but you do retain more water than usual. Whenever I hit a plateau and my workouts start to suck because I can't recovery fast enough It works. I get almost double the reps I usually can and I fell good. I don't take it to look jacked. It's just something to help me get over the hump.
I did a cycle on CE2 Hi Def stacked with NO2 Black. Was great. Then took a few months off, tried CE2 HiDef but this time stacked with NO2 Black Powder (cheaper than the pills). Eh. Not a big difference. Picking up some Jack3d today after work. Been off the CE2 and the NO2 Powder for a good 3-6 days, and gonna try to start today takin the Jack3ed alone. Let's see what happens.
