I don't think etheir one should have been banned. Maybe they both should have got timeouts or something, but if you were gonna ban one how do you not ban the other? There is not one circumstance in the real world where Pig would have gotten in trouble and not Moe. It could have been the other way around though. Moe started it, sometimes that is the route they take in punishment. Moe went further, sometimes this is the route. They both acted stupid, therefore both in trouble, most times this is the route they take. Never would it have just been Pig though. Deckard, thanks for making my point. On here you are worthless without donating a tip. I am not saying this is the way it is, but it certainly comes off that way and you have no problem coming out and saying it.
I think it's really common and not a big deal to call other people "moron" for posting stuff which does not make sense or offensive. But calling out someones significant other/spouse/family is definitely taboo The other stuff Moe said in retaliation/defense of his significant other is not any worse/bannable than most of the stuff posted by others Then I believe Gene continued to call out Moe's wife again if I'm not mistaken or never apologized for it
There are actually plenty of popular members that haven't contributed. And if Clutch doesn't like you, he has even refunded contributions. The number of posts Moes has vs. Gene is why Moes isn't banned. At least if you are going to post something stupid, have plenty of good posts to fall back on.
That wasn't my point at all. My point was that what you said made absolutely no sense, that there isn't a "bias" towards a member who has contributed and one who hasn't, and I'll add that your paranoia that there is one is a bit sad. I was being sarcastic in my post when I said you could toss Clutch something in the Tip Jar and solve your perceived "problem." I'll also add that the reason I suggested that Moes post be edited, and the posts quoting him be edited, was that it would get that trash off this forum. PIG's trash clearly wasn't going anywhere. As you want to insure that the crap stays here, all I can say to that is that you are what you eat. I hope you stuffed yourself.
Deckard, I guess I eat pretty well, thanks for inquiring and looking out for me. Juicystream, I cleary have been here since before Yao if you look at member since. I was here before that but hadn't registered. Kinda quit coming after Yao, because it became a Yao fan club site and the rest of the Rockets were bashed daily for Yao not being the greatest player in NBA history. It has came back around to a Rocket fan site and is enjoyable again. I like this place and the differrent opinions, just calling this one like I see it, as someone with no vested interest in either one of the two.
I'm a bit confused where this cry of injustice is stemming from. The guy explicitly asked to be banned. That's usually the surest route to guarantee a ban. Were it not for that, he would probably still be here.
It is not that other members are "worthless," but it certainly does make a difference when you contribute to the site. Clutch runs this out of his own pocket and AFAIK, Clutchfans has never made a profit. As such, Contributing Members do (and should) enjoy some leeway that Members do not.
I doubt Clutch is operating this at any sort of loss. The ad revenue probably generates profit for him. I ran a site significantly smaller than this and still turned about $100 a month in pure profit from Google ads.
The amount of traffic this board gets and the fact that Clutch installed some pretty expensive new servers a year or two ago. Ads can get you a decent chunk, but I doubt ads alone could give Clutch a profit.
When you call the mods "kunts"...your ass is banned. Plain and simple and that is not even taking into account the rest of the trash he strewed upon this thread.....if you dont see the VERY VERY CLEAR difference between that crap and the little tongue lashing moes gave him...I dont know what else to tell you.
GTP was one of the worst posters I ever remember encountering on this board, and I personally find it incredible that it took him this long to get banned. Also, for better or worse, my understanding is that McNabb has always felt a personal bond with other black QBs.
