Talking to CS through e-chat makes it a lot less painful.

Still slow and 'non-englishy' so it's hit or miss

They just changed to a 5gb max cap for 4g connection cards and mobile hotspot phones. Trust me, a 5gb cap for all phones is just around the corner.

thats lame it takes 10 years to get something and they remove the benefit.

so you can get 20% off with a aol email address? what else do you need to do?

As I understand it, they axed the Premier program and its associated benefits so that they could keep offering unlimited data since that is their main competitive edge against the others right now.

    See uprisings post above...

    http://sprint.p.delivery.net/m/p/nxt/ais/wdyw.asp?id12=UHPCHP_Link_EmployeeDiscounts

enter in your aol or .aim email address and you will get an email that will eventually link your account.

It worked without a problem for me!! Been getting 20% off for the last 4 months.

In the past 6-7 months they also introduced a $36 per-phone upgrade fee (up from $18), removed 1 year premiere upgrade for customers that have been with Sprint for less than 10 years (before removing the program altogether), took away the $5 annual anniversary credit from long time customers (starting in 2 months), raised the termination fee from $200 to $350, changed the 30-day guarantee period to 14 days, made a new policy where customers that cancel within 14 days have to pay their $36 activation fee and $35 restocking fee regardless (used to be waived), took away the ability for these fees to be billed to the account (now must be paid immediately by credit/debit card to make sure no reps show the customer pity and waive the fees for them later), raised per-line insurance by $1 to $8 a month, and introduced a $10 monthly premium data fee per-line for all smartphones (includes all Androids, Blackberry, Windows, Palm (even 6.x phones), and Instincts(?!) ), all in the name of keeping 3g/4g data unlimited for hotspot and 4g unlimited for connection cards, along with unlimited data use on phones (from what they told us).

Now they just introduced a 5gb hotspot and connection card cap for combined 3g/4g usage anyway (with $0.05 per megabyte overage charge). You can see why I think the phones will be capped next.

Just so you know its only 20% off your monthly plan bill (69.99 unlimited plan usualy), not off everything. Every bit helps though.

AstroRocket, since you are an employee of Sprint, you are confirming my fears of not wanting to stay with them much longer.

I'm not sure this works anymore - I just made an AOL email account and it said "We don't recognize your organization.". Anyone else have success?

Yes, I know. But honestly none of these charges are lesser at any other carrier. The way I see it, they want to hang on to the unlimited data thing as long as they possibly can, and I'm willing to stick with them as long as they do ... they have been good to me over the years and saved me lots of money. At the worst, even if they eventually came around and ended unlimited data, at that point I would be free to make a decision to switch if I wanted to -- they can't force it on existing contracts because that would be a material change of terms that would allow customers to break their contracts without an ETF.

Right now Sprint is still the most customer-friendly of the carriers, and prophecies of doom do not impact what the reality is today.

So, is this usage cap per phone, hypothetically? If we have like 5 phones on a plan, is that per phone? Also, how easy is it to go over that? If I'm not downloading anything, would I go over that by just surfing the web? Lol, I guess I don't know much in that area.
