Anybody here shave their Head regularly or has shaven their Head before ?

Never thought of that: OP, stay away from the barbers, and head to the salon instead. Just wax your head every few weeks. Problem solved.

 

whoa i dont know about that....especially if you have thicker hair...i've read you should never wax your beard or head hair...for a beard, i believe it has to do with the roots, being interlaced together or some crap like that. Not sure about head hair, but it may be the same, along with it having similar density. I think it would be difficult to get even results, you'd either need several passes with a lot of wax, which may be too dangerous or would have to settle for undone patches.

 

i just recently started shaving my head, because like you, the 1 and 0 weren't cutting it anymore.

like bj, i shave it about every 3 days, usually at night.

day 1 is mr clean smooth
day 2 i have the 5 o'clock shadow
day 3 the horseshoe is noticeable, and it's time to do it again.


anyone have a razor to recommend? $10 for a 4 pack of blades every couple of weeks is going to get costly. (i know that's only $20/month, but that's going from $0/month when i just used clippers)

 

On second though, go ahead and wax, just make sure you tape it for us :grin:

I can't get any lower the #0. I tried using a razor blade but I kept getting bad ingrown hairs.So I use Andis T-outliner clippers it gives me a pretty close shave going against the grain.

 

I shave my head. I just keep going everytime I shave my face. I lost most of my hair in my early 20's and it seems like chicks dig Jean-Luc Picard more than Frasier Crane. I use a Mach 3 razor.


Don't cut your scalp with a razor though...it bleeds like a mofo.

I started losing my hair years ago and finally took the plunge and shaved it completely last year. Just do it yourself, it's really not that hard. Once you get over the initial fear you'll find it's not a big deal. I went several month having mine cut at a 1, then a half, and then I finally just shaved it completely in the shower one day.

It's kind of a pain to keep up with though, so I usually just use clippers with no guard once a week.
