I heard a rumor that Clyde's mom was expanding...something about Drexler's Chicken-N-Waffles. Anyone know about this???
dam..im get hungry everytime i read this thread again... dat pic doesnt help either... so wzup with this frency's place? where is it at?
Frenchy's Famous Fried Chicken, the original location, is on Scott Street, between MacGregor Drive and I-45 (Gulf Freeway), right next door to the University of Houston. There are others around town but nothing beats the original. They only have picnic benches so it's best to get it to go. Best fried chicken in town, killer red beans & rice and collard greens, but no waffles.
Every time I drive by Frenchy's, the line is freaking huge! I kind of want to check it out, but I hate waiting in lines...
deepellumrocket, all 3 of the places you mentioned are the 3 places we hit the weekend I was there. and they're all worth it. in & out burger was good. you'll be amazed how small the dresden actually is. you might get to see my best friend from high school or his girlfriend sing with marty & elaine. they usually do a number or two with the "famous" couple each night. and you already know how I feel about Roscoe's. "best meal ever, man. . ." p.s. oh, by the way. . . expect a wait at Roscoe's , too. it's not a place where you can just walk in and eat, usually. I think, when we went, it was about a 45-min. to an hour wait. but worth every second of it.
Go early or late. They stay open until at least 2AM on weekends. Or just use the drive thru. Believe me...it's worth the wait.
There's a Roscoe's in Pasadena (CA), also. Give that one a shot. That's the one I usually go to and have never waited for more than 20 minutes for a table.
Damn I never even noticed a drive-thru, are you sure there's a drive-thru? If so, I might hit that place later tonight...
Are you one of those people who goes to Astroworld but then never rides anything because all the lines are too long?
Nah, I don't mind lines at Astroworld or theme parks. I just don't really care to wait in line to get something to eat when I see an empty Whataburger just down the street...
