Not underwhelmed, more like incredulous. I usually love draft and free agency. This time, either it's my age or it's the environment, but my BS detector is going off all the time. So many authorities are speculating on what we'll do and there are so many contradictory rumors about what we're trying to do, and then there's the omnipresent sneaking suspicion that Morey is actually going in a completely different direction, that there seems to be no point in investing in draft day or FA scenarios. I'll be quite excited to see what happens Thursday night, but I'm done trying to guess what it will be.

Is there any way we could draft Hakeem again? Still miss watching him play.

I think after tomorrow night when all is said and done, far more will have been said than is actually done.

What drama? There is nothing the Rockets have done to warrant drama. There is just talk and no action so far and nothing concrete or looking like its going anywhere or anyone discussing us as a possible destination. Its like the Rockets are being out manuevered by all other teams who are getting there name out there and likely deals done before us even though we have some of the most assets on the table.

Yeah i know what you mean. It always seems like the Rockets wait til the last minute and clean up the scraps. This waiting sucks!!

    I still think its interesting.

We do well bargain shopping and have done well with it.
Interesting to see if we'll make a larger purchase this time.

I'd bet we go for something thats not entirely new neat and shiny. Like Rubio. He must have devalued a bit since sitting over there in Europe for so long, and signing another contract.

Although, it would certainly be interesting if we traded up and nabbed a big name rook.

Someone called Budinger last year, and someone said Jermaine Taylor was a target.

Morey has stated over and over:

    1) You need a superstar to win
    2) If you don't have a superstar, you either draft one or build up assets to trade for one.

We have assets, now we expect the other shoe to drop. If there is no payoff, it will be underwhelming.

The only thing I care about is who the Rockets pick.

Because after today, the entire US (maybe even world) will turn to the FA market, and see where LeBron ends up.

I hate to cloud the big picture, but I don't see the Rockets being big players in free agency this summer. With the questions surrounding Yao's health and ability to stay on the floor we absolutely HAVE to hit this draft with everything we've got.
