Will More trading our back-up PG at trade deadline bite us in the a** two years in a row??!! We better be ready to sit up Nick Johnson. We could have used Canaan just about this time. Bev is gone if he expects a hefty raise; guy is injury-prone now.
what about harden at pg and kj at sg? kj can reportedly play defense and can be a havoc in the open court... this in case we want more d on the court
I think some of you are seriously underselling how devastating this could be if Beverley has to miss significant time. He and Ariza are the spearhead of the defense and that defense is the biggest difference between this team and last year's. The West is rife with talented point guards and Beverley is the only one on this roster that makes them work. Just look at the last 2 games: Bledsoe scored 22 of his 34 points when Beverley was on the bench. The Pacers broke a double digit lead down to 2 points after Beverley left that game. While no one player can shut a talented NBA guard down, Beverley is very effective at disrupting what they naturally want to do. This team can easily compensate for Bev's offensive contributions but his defensive impact is not so easily replaced.
KJ joining the Head Band Gang will wreak havoc. Imagine the greyhound and Big Mac running that fast break.
This. Bev not being 100% killed us last year against Portland. You can see the difference when Bev goes out the game how aggressive pg's become. Defense wins championships and Bev is a great defender. Hopefully its not serious
Cmon man, no it didn't What killed us last year was Harden was a damn no show Bev is a good backup on a championship team. If the Rockets don't advance, itll be mainl;y because Bev got lit up by Lillard, Curry, Parker, etc,
Bev's injury was a factor in last year's playoffs for one primary reason. It forced McHale to play Lin more and we all know what that led to.
@SpearsNBAYahoo: Rockets guard Pat Beverly could have a season-ending wrist injury as a final analysis is expected in the morning, sources told Yahoo Sports.

lol at you fools happy that this injury was going to sit him out...we need EVERYONE to make a deep run in the playoffs... this hurts
Pablo is going to be our playoff starter? Well didn't see that one coming... As much as I'm sure Bev wants to play through the injury, too much to risk with free agency.
I'm pretty numb to injuries at this point. This team hasn't caught a break from the get-go, and this is just another on the list. Bev has been abjectly terrible this year, as opposed to last year where he was quite solid and his injury then was much more worrisome. I hate to lose him, and having a Terry/Prigioni going guard rotation is probably going to be the reason we lose a playoff series, but it's not utterly devastating like losing Harden/Howard/Ariza/etc.
We will be fine without Bev, don't worry. His defense lacks anyway. Prigioni to start, Jet to come off bench.
