Just from his tone, I think he is done. Morey stated that they feel still very confident that this team can win it all with no Pat.
He sounds pretty stoked if you ask me about this team's chances of winning it this year. I think he feels confident with everyone else coming back that they'll be able to pull it together.
He didn't but I saw he should be back on Wednesday. But your boy Amin was already asking him stupid questions. He said do you feel confident in Harden being able to carry his play in the playoffs because he gets a lot of calls during the regular season.
Damn, so that's the end of PatBev the Rocket. Loved his D and game in the past couple of years, but both have been shotty this season. I can see JET resigning for one more season here as 2nd string back up PG, but we really need an upgrade at the starting position.
I really feel for Bev. Although it's been obvious for a while now that he isn't the answer at pg, just hate to see him possibly go out like this. Wherever he is, I know he's pretty bummed about this. Wish him well.
Sounds like a chump! Morey really believes that this team will catch fire on the defensive end come playoffs. He brought that up tonight. JVG also brought up that Houston was the best defensive team in the league when Howard is on the court. I think we'll have to wait and see. Either way, still like 9 games left to play.
If Bev is done, he might be done for this season only. He could still be brought back next year as a backup pg for a reasonable salary. Next year's priority is to retain the core players, including Smith and Brewer (this is where Morey will have to be very creative), and acquire a starting caliber pg. Seeing that we have the 3rd best record in the league despite a mountain of injuries, we are a Lawson type of pg from being considered a prohibitive favorite to win it all, along with the Warriors.
Cutting Ish looks like more of a misstep than trading Canaan right now. I remember McHale being so high on him during training camp... he is an absolute assist machine for the Sixers.
The way Morey described that we'd hopefully get Jones back with a few games before the playoffs didn't seem as optimistic as a couple days ago when he was supposed to be back this week. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. And yea I'm preparing myself for the "out for the season" announcement on Bev, it's really too bad. He's under appreciated on here, Terry will have to turn back to clock if we want to get to the conference finals.
