I agree. Newble would be a great option as opposed to Jones. I think a big is our prime concern. But Newble would be fine if its a swing man we are looking to plug in.

Ira Newble would be an okay pick up, but a big would be nice too

Bobby Jones didnt look good but its easy to look bad in limited minutes after not playing for a while.

Not at all, I just like spots at the end of the bench to be areas where you can try to develop players and find diamonds in the rough.

I would take Mike Harris on this team so fast it would make your head do a meat spin.

I rather see Gerald Green during those blow out minutes.

i wonder why Morey did not make any moves on Theo Ratliff.
Anyway, i guess rox would not extend Bobby's 10 day contract.

All the above experts are so quick to judge!
From the few mins he was on the court I was unable to draw any conclusions about him and hope that he will get the chance to show exactly what he brings to the game.
Both Jones and Green must be given the opportunity to play. At least one of them could be in our future development plan. :p

I believe you can't judge player by 2 minutes played.

Bobby Jones is ok, I'm more worried about BOBBY JACKSON'S FG's.

Agree Yetti, I think Jones played a whopping 4 minutes and people are down on him. Hilarious.

You are right 4 minutes is not enough to judge him on but neither is 10 days with limited in-game playing. He has to show something fast or he will quickly be pushed to the side. When Landry got his opportunity he quickly showed us something and it didn't take 4 minutes. If I were Bobby Jones I would be diving and jumping and leaping as if my life depended on it. Because his NBA life does.

And let's be clear about practice, doing good in practice is not enough. Doing good in practice means he might get an opportunity to do it a real game but if he doesn't show it in primetime in relatively quick order than bye-bye Bobby. We didn't bring this kid in to develop him. We brought him for immediate help. If he can't deliver immediately than bye-bye Bobby.

Oh and for the record 4 minutes is not enough to judge him on but it is all we have and so far in less than 4 minutes Green has shown more.

If you judged Yao Ming by his first 2mins you would have thrown him out of the league. :p

10-day contract for Jones seems about right. I'm not impressed.

yes- but there was reason to believe that he would be good. hence why he was the first pick in the nba draft.

I would have expected the opposite, but Green showed me more in his 4 min than Jones did in his.
