Stro attacking the basket from the top of the key today was a thing of beauty, why settle for the jumpshot, take it strong big man...STRONG !!

    I liked it.

OK now that the players are back, most of them anyway, I think I see what it wil take to make the Rockets a winner. Yo Ming and McGrady are fixtures. I think Auston has reached that level too as the point guard. Westley needs to hold down the shooting gurard position until Head, Hayes or Anderson can fill that spot. Whats missing. Let's see. A third or fourth offensive threat, a rebounder, shot blocker someone big enough to fill up the inside. SOmeone who can create on offense and someone McGrady can dump off to. Swiftr has the ability no onew can question that. Its up to the coaches to make it work. I wonder jhow often Ban Gundy dumps off on the playeers when he simply has not prepared his team for the role he needs them to play. Defense is critical. Dwefense does not help you when you cant make shots and most important make the other team pay for double teaming Yo and McGrady. The coaches have a raw talent in Swift. Look, hes dumb as a goard so they have to grill him over and over and over. Turn the boys loose and let them run.

I was proud of Stro today in the NY game. I am a Rocket fan, as long as he is a Rocket, I will pull for him.

I could even grow to like him if he continues to play like he did today.

    Go Stro

You mean Swift actually looks better playing with Yao and TMac????? Hmmm, go figure.

Trade him straight up for Harrington while his value is up.

Stro is a good guy...Even though JVG doesn’t give him the starts or minutes that he probably wants - he still doesn’t complain and just does his job to the best of his ability. Even when he got benched, he took it like a man...Came in the next day and gave it his all, recognizing the JVG style of coaching and discipline. Remember JVG doesn’t want any "knuckleheads" on this team. Swift isn’t the smartest guy out there but he isn’t a knucklehead by any measure. He won’t cause the same problems as EddieG, Spree, or Artest for that matter. I say keep him.

i do he's playing in a averege mode and that is what we need the only thing i would say is to play a little bit strong in defense with at least tow blocks and a few boards more like 7 to 8

    Go Rockets

Stro was ballin it up yesterday....VERY nice 4th quarter. Its nice to see him being involved in the offense. As I have said many times, I'd like to see us dump the ball into him and have him turn and face the bucket. This allows him to go one-on-one (as we saw yesterday) and he can create. Maybe he gets fouled, maybe he gets a dunk/lay-up, maybe he dumps the ball off to Yao for an easy 2, and we just may see him take off and be the player we all thought he COULD be.

I think stromile just needs more playing time. He goes in at the end of 1st quarter with a minute left every game. The only time he gets PT is in the 4th and is usually productive when he is involved. I rather have him in there in crunch time then juwan. Juwan loves to foul and set moving screens. Keep the faith alive for STRO, he is still young and only going to get better. Think he plays good when in there with Yao and Tmac.

WOW I'm surprized there are so many Swift fans. He played well against the Knicks and had his moments at times this year, but you all who think this underachivieing scrub is just going to have a light go on in his head and just "get it". Well I've got some swamp land land for ya! This college star, got his first paycheck, went shopping, and still hasn't come back. I'll start Hayes 10 times out of 10 times over Swift the Scrub!!

Maybe, but he put up #'s, and might have just saved the game for us yesterday. His 10 point 4th was huge...

He has his moments, good and bad. He's inconsistent. He's physically gifted. He's really frustrating. But I think that we can really use a guy like him, and I'm sure he'll figure out soon that he won't cut it with anything less than 100%. It will take a while of consistency out of him for people to change their minds, but i'm sure he can do it.

We have to remember not to be overly critical of his off-nights though, because I mean the guy is human right? He'll have a few.

P.S. His jumpin- wait, leaping ability is sure not human hahahaha.

I'm going to say it again, I would take stro over EGriffin, MoTaylor... and amongst our PF's right now he's the one that can contribute the most points aswell as shot blocking ability.

That dunk from the top of the key was unreal. My problem, every time I see the Stro Show, is that I wonder why he can't do that 4 times a game. ?????

Instead of fouling 3 times in 2 minutes, and looking around like he lost his favorite pet on the court.

Is this guy a stitch or what?....

Like it or not unless we get someone younger, he is the power foward of the future. I think he'll come around, he's not expected to do much more that what he has already shown that he can do any improvement on top pf that is gravy.

This is how it is...There is no way that stro can get any worse. If anything he'll catch on, learn the "terminology" and get better. The problem is people were expecting a Chris Bosh type player or something. They new what his numbers were during his first four years. Bottom line - him being on this team is a good thing. Not only for the "fun factor" but he makes key plays down the stretch.
