I really really think this will work! trade swift waive sura (i doubt his chance of coming back) and wesley then we will be able have some gap. sign PJ
    with line up like this
    RA (draft pick)
    PJ (head)
    Tmac (bogan)
    JuH (hayes)
    Yao (muto)
    not bad isn't it

Waiving player don't fee up cap in the NBA, and you would have to trade swift to some one with cap space other wise you're gonna get similar contract back.

That's a good idea but..... can we afford Peja's demand? A good catch-and-shoot player is enough for this team. Peja will also need at least 15 shots per game and he doesnt like to do those defensive job under JVG's defense rotation system.

Man Donnie Walsh would be voted Executive of the Year, 3 years in a row if this were to happen.

i dont think the rockets can get peja....he's probably gonna be too expensive and he has back problems too and he's getting old

a more realistic option could be vlad rad, he's gonna be a free agent and while its true he turned down an offer from seattle and they had to trade him for chris wilcox or end up just losing him on the free agent market, i think rockets would have a chance, because the primary reason he didnt wanna sign with seattle is that they suck....maybe we can lure him to houston

So the NBA has a salary cap ... We all know that and guess what it doesnt mean we have to stay under. All it means is that Les doesnt want to spend the money to get players here.

You have about 3 -5 years max with Tracy and Yao being healthy and winning a chapionship. Thats the time frame even the Rockets gave them both. If you do not add the pieces soon all this hoopla with T-mac and Yao for the past 2 years will be for nothing.

Les Bend over and take it. Get a shooter and if thats Peja ( which is a damn good shooter from the outside ) then do it. I hate how people here are so focused on the draft which is something we can't wait for. Most likely we will not get a superstar which only takes about a couple of years to really blossom but a decent player which takes 3-5 years. Do we have the time to wait? NO

    Get someone proven.........

If there is no cap or other concerns and you have just got a chance to pick a SG from the league to play with TMac and Yao, who would you pick?

Allen or Hamilton, who do you think fits the team better?
I personally like Hamilton. His catch and shoot is going to be a perfect match for the team.
Kobe is good but he needs the ball and there is only one.
I would not pick Peja as he in playoffs and plays no D.

Look, we all know you're a genius and all.

But do you realize that we can only go over the cap to sign Peja by giving him the MLE? (which wouldn't work, since even your smart self would know that he'll get more elsewhere) We could sign and trade a bunch of ppl that add up to a bigger contract, but the Pacers wouldn't do that for scrubs..

Yes, please bash the owner more for not trying something that the NBA would reject. Please say it's the owner's fault that the NBA has rules and regulations.

Please propose a solution that doesn't involve stupidity

Hey, Peja said today that he wants to opt out and trying out free agency....That would be unbelievable if we could get him...I know its almost impossible with the salary cap room that we have butyou never know..if he wants to come to a team that is young and has a chance for a ring...imagine teams doubling Yao and TMAC and all they do is kick it out ot Peja for wide open jumpers...he is to 3 shooter in the league....I can dream can't I?

Rockets should go after the poor man's peja: Vladimir Radmanovic

postives: decent ball handling and rebounding skills, can hit 3s and wide-open shots, he's younger, more size, healthy, and would cost less

negatives: d is not that great

positives outweigh the negatives and vlad rad is a realistic possibility

    A Long Summer

For the first time since 2004 the Rockets have not made the playoffs, with a new owner in the waiting, a banged up captain, a coach that's fearing for his job and a cap room weaker than Ryan Bowen's knowledge of his location on the floor, we need help. Lets review our roster and only list Yao and Tmac as untouchable. The draft will not be the answer to our prayers, even if we pick up Brandon Roy. Van Gundy is partly responsible for the hole we are in, only because we fit our roster according to him but after doing so, we see no major production. The only thing I hand to Van Gundy is his small ball and the way he stands up to refs but not his D game. We have so much potential, so why are we still waiting to make it to the second round? CD needs to make his last year a year to remember, while our foundation of Yao and T MAC is still young.

I think I'll pass. This Peja practically disappears in the playoffs. I'd rather have someone a little less accurate and much more consistent (both in regular season and in playoffs) that to have a guy who to can help to get to the playoffs and then brick an apartment complex.

    PASS
